looking for an english tort recipe my husband has been asking me to make one for a while im not sure whats in it or how to make it if any one has any recipes for one or knows a good website please add the link or e-mail me with the recipe thank you very much

couldn't find any english torte, but here is a list of all torte recipes, maybe you can find one similar to what your looking for

There really is no such thing as a 'torte' indigenous to British cuisine: tarts a-plenty , but no tortes. They are essentially part of the germanic cuisines. Torte or no torte, though, do you think you could provide a description of what your husband has in mind? Then we all can have a better shot at tracking something down for you that may help out...

A torte is a cake made without flour, and you can find torte recipes on many cooking websites. I don't know of any "English" tortes
