I have Norton have had it for years and love it but I have run into a problem recently
It keeps saying I need to update my protection and when I do it says no new definitions. So I got a new one because it was time to renew anyway and it has worked for months. Then yesterday it says the same thing that I need to update my virus definitions but I just updated on Saturday. When I up date it says no new updates I am update but the red waring does not go away what can I do

but i just got a new version in january i paid for and downloaded a new one

AVG Free is the best anti-virus out there right now. Norton is total junk, uses up a lot of system resources and you have to pay for it. Avast is also a good free anti-virus. You can download AVG from the link below. There is absolutely no spyware and it is completely free.

I had the same problem a long time ago. This is why Norton is not good. Now you have to go to control panel and go to add or remove program. Find norton antivirus and remove it. It will uninstall. Now go find your CD, you have to reinstall it. I know it is very long but it is only way to fix it. I would say you try another anti virus program

Samuel is right. AVG is the best. Get rid of Norton. It is a known troublemaker.

In Junipero's humble opinion, Norton is worst anti-virus on face of planet . . . almost anything else is better . . .
