Italian bread, ranch spread or mayo, avocado, bacon, roast turkey, tomato, and lettuce. Maybe a slice of havarti cheese. Yum!

Fun one are beer grilled bratwursts cut in half, with grilled onions, mayo, and mustard on a big hoagie roll! or little cheese pimento sandwiches are good too!

My other favorite is turkey or roast beef with melted swiss over an avocado on grilled french bread.

My mom used to eat an open faced sandwich with mayo sprinkled with Mrs. Dash, then avocado, then some alfalfa sprouts. It was actually not bad, if you like alfalfa sprouts.

CUBANO - Fresh ham, deli ham, swiss cheese, dill pickle and mayo/mustard sauce on french bread. Assemble sandwich and heat in a sandwich press until toasted slightly on the outside and flattened a bit. If you don't have a sandwich press wrap a brick in aluminum foil, place sandwich in a skillet and put the brick on top, turn sandwich over and repeat on other side.

I like to scramble an egg, preferbly in an egg ring to keep the circular shape. A beef sausage patty and cheese on Texas Toast. Press it all together on my George Foreman Grill.
Oh yeah butter the grill so it'll soak the bread in butter.

Right now I am craving pulled BBQ pork, grilled on a good eggy bun with coleslaw and a think slice of Havarti cheese melted over all - and some good kosher dills - don't forget the chips

If you are looking for a nice light sandwich, try cream cheese and cucumber slices on wheat bread. It's simple, low-fat, and quite filling. Egg salad and tuna salad are also winners.

Consider your guests' ages, and decide what is appropriate. If nothing else, good old-fashioned peanut butter and jelly is a good staple.
