Go to download.com and search for registry cleaner/mechanic or windows optimizers and make sure they are free, not free to try. Download and install one that gets high marks from the editors and users. There are a few good ones and it all depends on personal preference.

Yes; there such a program that will safely cleanup your PC. Try a program made by the software company named Webroot; they have a great program called Window Washer that ALL kinds of options you can select to help keep your PC clean. I tried myself and after cleaning; My web pages seem to load faster when Internet surfing. Do a Google search on this company or on CNET.com AND see what others have to say about the software...I think you will be surprised. Good Luck !!

One of the most effective FREE programs is "SpyBot - Search and Destroy" That will clear anything on your PC that it see's as a threat ( with your permission ), This program can be found with a google search.

Registry Mechanic is good, ccleaner & cleanup not so good.
Why not use your PC`s own disc cleaner, defrag?

I use CCleaner and Cleanup - both do a good jon and are free
