I love it! They have an apple butter festival not too far from where I live, every year. Good stuff, good stuff!

My Grandma used to make apple butter all the time. After she passed I didn't have it for a long time. None of the family had the foresight to get the recipe. Some stores sell it but it's just not the same.

Yes,I have had this and we used to have this over to my grandma's house when we would have Sunday dinner over there. I loved eating fresh buttermilk biscuits right out of the oven,and then splitting the biscuits in half,and spreading on some apple butter. It tasted kind of like cinnamon applesauce,but alot thicker like butter,hence apple butter.
I really miss the days of going over to my grandma's house with my parents,because my parents have both passed away,but I will never forget all of the food memories that we as a family shared at my grandma's house. We used to have such big dinners at her house,that it could literally feed an army,not kidding!! ;-)

Apple butter (appoliaous butterous) comes frome the greek term meaning butter of the gods.
Many greeks even used olive butter till they found out how important the apple in the butter really is.
If the greeks considered it the butter of gods then I would recommend it on your morning toast every morning!

Yes, I've had apple butter, It is great.
It's like apple sauce but has brown sugar and spices in it.
I have made apple butter, lots of times.
I think you will like it too, if you like apple pie.

I love apple butter. And I think it's just like mushed up apples and cinnimon, right? That's how come it's so dark..

Yes, it's delicious. There is also cherry, pumpkin, peach, and apricot butter. All very good.
