Yes we do,its one of the great British traditions that sadly seem to be fading out along with the rest i suppose, theres nothing to beat a sit around the table roast dinner where we can get the chance to chat, eat and enjoy one of the most precious things in life, the company of family, and ohhhhhh the fine aromas wafting from the kitchen whetting our appetites,as Pop Larkin would say
'Perfick!' By the way its usually beef or chicken for us ( British )
and sometimes a leg of English lamb, proper job.

When i was living with my family (just a few years ago, im in college now) we had a sunday dinner almost every week. Sometimes roasted chicken, or pot roast or one of many other things. It was usually a more elaborate meal than what we had normally. It was also understood that all the family would sit down and enjoy (often for 1-2 hours), not that we didnt sit and eat together during the week

I don't think I've ever had a Sunday roast dinner. Maybe it's because I'm in the US. It was never a tradition. But it sounds good!

Yes - I have my parents over for a roast dinner every Sunday. I alternate between roast beef, chicken, lamb and pork. Have it with boiled spuds and veg - usually broccoli and carrots. Dont bother with a starter and have dessert a bit later on in the day when I've got a bit of room.

No. I normally stand up for my Sunday roast dinner. That's because I burnt all my chairs on a huge bonfire. Sometimes I sit on the floor though.

Actually today we are going to have a sunday roast, but its only because the guy cooking for our crew dinner decided to make it. Thats one awesome thing about living at the fire station, we cook and learn how to cook from each other.
