If you don't really know any personally, you might think so because they are contradicting your doctrine. But if you get to know them, you'll see that they are the same kind of human beings as you, with love, compassion, loyalty and all kinds of other emotions, morals and values, that really do not differ much from yours on many subjects. They just don't like being suppressed into believing what others tell them to believe, just because some ancient books, filled with mythology, tell them to do so.
The difference between theists and atheists is mainly that theists think they have found the truth already and atheist think the truth is still out there to be revealed.
Try it be friendly with and atheist, and you'll find out.

If I had to make an order of Evil it would be this.
1. Christians (1,000,000,000,000 first place votes)
2. Your Mom (10,000,000 first place votes)
3. Nazi's (3 first place votes)
BTW Atheists received no votes. They are in fact good people. Go figure

The world would be a better place without any religion and that's for sure.
For one thing people would think for themselves instead of needing dusty old text books to tell them how.

Oh yeah, real hateful, evil bunch those Atheists. Always doing what's right just for the sake of doing what's right without any threat of going to hell. Pure evil, they are.

I am an atheist. I do not consider myself evil. However, you are free to think of me as you will. It just wouldn't be the truth.
Thank you for sharing your loving thoughts.

A null cannot be evil. Atheists don't bother with Gods or faith. They live their life as it is, without hopes of paradise or fear of a tortured eternity at death. They study where and with what they can find facts and Truth.....without the bolster of having to believe and have faith because there are few facts and fewer truths.
If you want the Truth.....Ask a Pagan.

No. Why do you have to think anyone who has a different philosophy is "evil"? If that's what your religion is teaching you, then I'd say that's where the "evil" lies in this situation.

Well, we're certainly not going to hell.
You're not going to convert us.
You're not going to make us see the "error of our ways".
Because there ISN'T one.
We're not evil.
We just don't agree with you.
And, despite what your religious leaders may think, the two are NOT the same damn thing.

That depends on one's definition of "Evil"
In a religious philosophy, the athiests are evil (contary to God)
In a rational philosophy, the religious folks are evil (abuse of reason)
