The legends of what was contained in the Dead Sea Scrolls are far beyond what was actually there. There were no lost books of the Bible or other literature that there was not already other copies of. The vast majority of the Dead Sea Scrolls were simply copies of books of the Old Testament from 250-150 B.C. A copy or portion of nearly every Old Testament book was found in Qumran. There were extra-biblical and apocryphal books found as well, but again, the vast majority of the scrolls were copies of the Hebrew Old Testament. The Dead Sea Scrolls were such an amazing discovery in that the scrolls were in excellent condition and had remained hidden for so long (over 2000 years). The Dead Sea Scrolls can also give us confidence in the reliability of the Old Testament manuscripts since there were minimal differences between the manuscripts that had previously been discovered and those that were found in Qumran.

I beat Resident Evil 4 and give it a nine... ...The Dead Sea has caves near it and in these caves the old scrolls were found. On the scrolls is unchanged Bible information, like on every other page is a reference to living simple.

Copies of the OT text written on scrolls found near the Dead Sea beginning in 1947. These are 1,000 years older than the standard Hebrew Bible Manuscripts. They assure us of the accuracy of the Hebrew texts we have today and help us better know the precise wording of the OT.

Another subjective story to be used by men against men. I believe in the god of ALL ... I don t believe in religions. Look at Sumerian text, the Torah, the bible in all it s forms ....a collection of some of all (Jehova Witnesses told me they don t use the King James bible because of Shakespeare s input) The Quran tells you exactly what Ham (Noah s youngest) did to Noah (causing Noah to in turn curse Ham s youngest - Canaan) while the bible glosses over it. It s one of the most controversial and disputed stories in the bible & was used to justify slavery of the 18th & 19th Century and the story isn t even complete. Shame on Mankind
