Get a bag of baby carrots and a bunch of celery. The carrots are ready to eat, but you'll need to prep the celery by cutting it into sticks. Just cut up one or two stalks at a time, so it'll stay nicer longer.
If you want, mix up a dip from scratch. You can add margarine (with or without a little honey) to peanut butter, or you can get fat-free sour cream and add some onion powder and garlic powder and salt and pepper. Making a dip from scratch isn't hard. Stir everything well. Mix up just a little at a time, however. That way you'll stop when it's done out of sheer convenience. If you're really nibbling because you're bored, this should help. You can still nibble, but on healthy things.

Try brushing your teeth after you finish dinner. You might be less inclined to snack if your mouth feels all fresh & clean. Also, take up some kind of hobby to keep your hands and mind occupied with something other than eating. Late night eating (unless you're snacking on healthy things like fruit or veg) could lead you down the road to weight problems in the future...

First, make sure you clear your home of your regular snacks so you can't snack on them. Snack on veggies instead. Celery, carrots, zuccinis, radishes, cabbage, snap peas, etc. can be eaten raw (but wash them first). I like snacking on plain cooked green beans. You can eat fruit too--grapes are nature's snack food. You can put peanut butter on apples as a special treat (it's at least not too unhealthy for you). Sunflower seeds--with the shells still on so you have to work to get to the nut. Freeze fruit juices (you can stick a little sprig of fruit in each cube) and munch on those.

I suppose you could make a conscious effort to not eat at night. Or you could go to bed earlier. Or read a book, it's hard to hold a book and eat at the same time. It's hard to break that habit of night eating but you can do it if you work on it. Good luck.

in case you do no longer end now, you would be apologetic approximately it. i'm approximately eighty kilos obese and it began as a teenager. I ate regardless of, each and every time. back then i might desire to maintain it off. yet as you get older, it incredibly is a nightmare. start up now, consume healthy, make it relaxing. Be innovative with it. attempt new issues and mentally tell your self which you do no longer want all that greasy nutrients to proceed to exist. i'm going to desire for you. i desire you gain your objective. you're able to do it!!

Move your dinner time up a little bit, so if you have a big meal a little later, you won't want to eat at all, if you're still full from dinner. . .Also, if you drink lots of water you'll get full from that, but it isn't bad for you. This is basically just a bad habit to break, so you'll need to consciously make yourself not do it.

you should try and switch to healthier snacks such as airpopped popcorn, veggies with lowfat ranch dip, or lowfat cheese and crackers. that way you'll have something to munch on but you wont be eating junk.
or just try to drink a tall glass of ice cold water and wait half an hour. your cravings should stop. if they dont, eat something healthy.

If you must eat late just make it light and healthy. Have a bowl of cereal or a sugar free Popsicle or ice cream bar.

I can't think of ANYTHING that will put on weight faster. It is really a bad habit to have but if you must eat the carrots and celery......but NOT with dips.
