some people have answered my last question with "that we were all created fron one being GOD" OKAY. I find the thought of God more frustrating than the thought of the big bang, due to the fact that belief in the creator of all life on earth, a belief which is based on the holy trinity THE LOGOS , sudenly appeard from nowhere and created the universe. COME ON!
that theory is more unbelievable than the big bang, since the only source for your FAITH is the Bible, written by people centuries after the fact. put it this way if I said god spoke to me you would call me crazy and lock me away! the problem with blind faith is that is what you have to be BLIND. I can not fit in this space every theory or belief that surround the question of God so I appologise if this sounds a bit like a short rant but people who walk through life without asking these important questions of life and blindley believe the word of a corrupt church usurped through deceipt and murder ARE LIVING IN DENIAL.

Do you actualy believe that the big bang makes more sense than someone creating all that you see. The majority of scientists and historians today are coming to an understanding that this universe did not just happen to be, they see an order of design in it.

Stop and honestly think, where did the bing bang come from, and where did that come from? Do you believe that everything you see is just a random happening of chance? If that is so then why is there only human life on planet earth? The big bang should of also created human life on other planets, but years have passed by and billions of dollars in research has been done and yet there is no life like like on planet earth. Even yet the entire atmosphere and so forth is exactly as is found in Genesis 1.

It makes far more sense for me to believe that someone created the universe and earth, and made the earth unique by putting life on it. You mention faith in your question and I can only say that you have put your faith in the big bang. Boom, oh i guess I just typed that.

"sudenly appeard from nowhere"

He didn't suddenly "appear from nowhere", He always existed. If you're going to criticize the Christian faith, at least take the time to know what it claims.

"that theory is more unbelievable than the big bang"

Actually, what is more unbelievable is that randomness and chaos created order.

"the only source for your FAITH"

Nope, I just used logic just above.

"if I said god spoke to me you would call me crazy and lock me away!"

That would depend on what you claimed He told you. For example, if you said a voice you claimed to be from God told you to love your neighbor, I would consider the possibility that it was actually was from God. However, if you claimed that the message was that babies make good eating and you should have a few servings, then I would definitely be a bit more skeptical.

"the problem with blind faith is that is what you have to be BLIND."

I agree. Which is why I don't give much credence to blind faith.

I think there is physical proof. YOU! Explain to me which evolved first, the heart, the blood, veins, arteries, or your lungs. Each needs the other to function. I'm no scientist, but I think I'm correct. I talked a week ago with the former head of the Mathematics department at a major university. When I asked him if there is proof of God's existence in math, he laughed and said "of course". He went on to explain several items that displayed such evidence, and said there is much more evidence. The order of the math in our universe is incredible, according to him. We didn't create the math for pi, calculus, etc, We just discovered what already existed. You may want to do some research on the "empty set".

Here are some thoughts.

1) How can you have physical evidence of a non-physical being?

2) Do you even know what 'logos' means? The existence of the logos and its role in the universe is without question.

3) What makes you think that the only source for theism is the Bible?

4) For all of you talk about what is rational, how can you justify going against the grain of modern academic opinion and deny the very existence of Jesus?

5) Have you studied any of the arguments for the existence of God? Consider - if you define God as the sum of all positive properties, his existence is a foregone conclusion. All that remains is to sort out his attributes (is he a personal being, for example?).

It is generally believed that there was actually a historical Jesus. He is mentioned in the secular writings of historians such as Josephus (but who, admittedly, can't be counted on to be totally accurate and unbiased). As one of the other answerers comments, it's His divinity that is under question. So no, there is no actual proof that Jesus was the son of God. That is a matter of faith.
As for the existence of God itself, well, you could interpret that as follows. Is there any evidence of order amongst things, order that couldn't have happened purely by accident - BUT DESIGN? You have only to consider things like the Fibonacci sequence of numbers, the Golden Ratio and suchlike, to realise that, MAYBE, a higher power was at work.
Whether or not this 'Higher Power' wants, or needs, people to worship it is another matter.

Dr Hawking once said "If God were physical then we almost certainly would have found something to prove it by now, but God is personal". So if you want to believe that your ansestor was a monkey, or would you rather believe that you were created by an intelligent designer. So with a personal God you shouldn't need evidence, but you should just accept that cells multiplied through mytosis and something came out of the sky to form life and it all happened by accident or there was this intelligent designer and he put your ancestors togeather in the best possible way to function as a civilisation. I know what I think, but it's personal.

If there was physical proof the God did exist...do you really think that we would all be here debating the issue??? It's all about faith. Hopefully you will find the answers that you are looking for in this. But I doubt it because it sounds like you've made up your mind already and aren't looking for any. But anyhow I still want to say God Bless and Good luck on finding the truth to whatever it is you are searching for.

If I where to turn around and not try to answer your question, will I be in denial?, I think yes, because I do have what I consider proves, that not only he exist, and he create Life, Although I know, despite of what the "Big Bang", purposes has always been, to prove that God, or what we call "God", is not just the product of say, explosion but also that God is an actual Emanation of Matter's.

I don't know if you knew this, or not, so, I'm not pretending to know everything, but, if you take my first paragraph, to the Bank, what do you think it will happen?........., Yes!, it will happen, the same with God, he happen to be, but he is real as much as you are, real, for me, I can't see you, and I'm, absolutely positive, that your question, in essences, and in your own essences of awareness, was made because you which not to give-up,.............withoutafight,........God, is Love and God is Wonderful, NOW, TELL ME, where is the Banck.

i have proof. you can go to www.messagedoctrine.com and see a photo of the pillar of fire above william branham's head. the same pillar of fire in moses day, that struck paul off his horse and blinded him, that rested on the Lord Jesus. it was taken in 1950 during a debate between a baptist minister, dr. best, refuting a minister, F.F. BOSWORTH, that God doesn't heal people any longer. the photo was authenticated by, George c. Lacey, the examiner of questioned documents for the FBI as the 1st supernatural being ever photographed and sits in washington at the national archives.

you can also see a photo of the seven angels forming the head of Christ. the perfect capstone/headstone of the church. it was taken in 1963 over arizona and was in the may 17th edition of "LIFE" magazine. it fulfills the statement in thessalonians, to you who are troubled rest with us when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels...etc. all seven of them.
it also fulfills the statement, i will send mine angels to gather the wheat/christians into the garner and bundle the tares together for the burning. that is what they were sent for and doing today.

you may read bro. branham's sermons at www.branham.org or buy them all for $15 at www.daysofthevoice.com

www.leevayle.net series on the godhead, rapture, presence, and paradox are good too

Miracles, effects without explanation as to causes for starters. Why do the stars such as the Belt of Orion stay together rather than spin out to space? Regarding proof of Jesus' existence, there are many eyewitness testimonies by other than Christians - Eusibius, a historian for example. As far as the risen, resurrected Lord Jesus, that is something one experiences for themselves to know to be true.
