You should be able to buy an acceptance card for a wedding rather than a thank you card - good card shops will have really quite nice ones.

If you want to go out and buy something, fine, but it isn't neccesary, or expected. A thank you card isn't necesarily appropriate. Hallmark makes cards with no writing inside, you could do that. . Or if you have some nice note cards, or stationary, use that. Just write Mr. and Mrs. John Smith will be pleased to accept the invitation, two adults will be attending. Write out the full names of the people who will be attending, and indicate the total number. Often, someone in the wedding helps out with RSVPs, and may not know who Jim and Sue are, so put your last name[s] on the inside, too.
Have fun at the wedding!

The invitation should have come with a smaller card that you write how many will be attending. Usually it's 2. It should be already stamped and addressed. You fill it out and throw it in a mailbox. If no card is enclosed, is there a phone number for the RSVP? If there isn't anything to indicate how they want to be notified of you going to the wedding, I'd call them.
Thank you cards are for them to send to you after the wedding...you don't thank them for the invite.

Typically, wedding invitations contain an RSVP card enclosed. Check the invitation again to see if you missed the RSVP reply card. If not, see if the RSVP indicates that you should reply by phone. If it doesn't contain either, send her a "thinking of you" card and reply to accept the invitation. Maybe the RSVP card was not included by error.

There was no enclosure card? That seems odd. Just write a short note on your personal note cards stating that you "accept with pleasure the kind invitation for (event) on (date & time):

Mrs. and Mrs. So and So
accept with pleasure
your kind invitation
to the wedding of
Jane and Bob
for the evening of
the twentieth of April.

This should be centered on the note card.

I think a non-specific card type is best - one with a nice flower or design on it. Like an arty-farty type card - that's what I have used when rsvping to a wedding invite

Address a nice little card with your acceptance. The important thing is that you respond. One way or the other.

Since there was no acceptance card, you can just send a plain note telling them that you will be attending. No thank you card is necessary.

You can go to the card shops and purchase an acceptance card. It's perfectly acceptable to send one of these and they're not overly expensive.
