I don't have anything whatsoever against Jews but I wonder why many right wing Christian groups don't support their Christian Palestinian brethren and a continued Christian presence in the Holy Land, as many Palestinian Christians have lived in the region for thousands of years. I know that organizations like Focus on the Family and similar organizations have a pro-Israel stance. I'm just wondering why this is the case?

A lot of people (Christians) are pro-Zionism, they believe that God's chosen poeple (the Jews) should be able to haev Israel. Not every Christian feels that way though. I personally (as a Chrisitan) havent made up my mind as to what I believe about that. I can see both sides....

The Palestinians are Gentiles, therefore they are included as brothers and sisters if they are indeed Christians. There is no need to single them out. Remember God promised Abraham that he would be the father of many nations (Gen. 17:4-5).

True Christians in general (not necessarily right-winged) support Israel because the Law was first given to the Nation Israel from God. If it wasn't for God's covenants/promises with Israel, and the promise of the Messiah, we would not get to to be grafted onto the Olive Tree to be a part of the "many nations" fathered by Abraham. This was God's sovereign will. Abraham is the father of all those who believe (Rom 4:11).

We are told in the Scripture to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and God's chosen people. You will be blessed if you do, and cursed if you don't.

How can a Christian Palestinian be against Israel? I know the Bible and I study God's Word every day. Christians are to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and we are to bless Israel and not curse. How could Christian Palestinians live under the lies of Arafat? Something is not making sense.

Actually, since Palestine wasn't a country at all, or even a recognized grouping of any sort until the 1960's, I don't think your point holds any water. However, I stand beside the Jews because God does. They are still His chosen people, His beloved, and Christians are, by adoption, part of that people. Once you are born again, you are taken into the family of Jesus Christ, a Jew, thus you are an adopted Jew, at least after the spirit anyway. Furthermore, while the Jews have been persecuted for centuries by virtually every society of the gentile nations, God will still punish those who stand against her. It is a frightening thing to be in the hands of an angry God.

Good question. You have a different opinion from most americans because you have actually heard and seen the news from outside sources, so you know what is actually happening in the world. Americans get theri news filtered through certain interest groups so most are woefully ignorant of the facts you mention. It is well documented that Israel broke the tuce and started the attack on Gaza with its terrible outcome for its civilian population. Israel has a lot of control over the information that reaches americans, so basically, many do not know what is happening, or refuse to let the facts get in the way of opinion. .

Huh.....Judging from places like Saudi Arabia if the Muslims owned it, there would be no Christians allowed. Try to go to Mecca if you are a Christian.

Israel has always seem the one willing to compromise even though they are much stronger and don't have to. They are probably going to have to level the whole Palestinian area some day, and they can in a second. But they have been more than willing to try to settle it peacefully. It is the Palestinians that won't

Wonderful Palestinian Christian Quote

“We are the only people on Earth asked to guarantee the security of our occupier ..while Israel is the only country that calls for defense from its victims .."

Hanan Ashrawi

The Christian church has been infiltrated and this unholy union will bring to power the Antichrist who will be King of Israel. The good thing though is that after the Antichrist is defeated the Holy land will be returned to the rightful inheritor.

Those who say God wants the Jews to have the Holy land seem to have overlooked the obvious fact that God gave the Holy land to the Ishmaelites over 1,000 years ago.

Because one group does not like what God has decided is not a reason to take it away by force.

Israel is the Prophetic marker that Jesus told us to watch, and The Jews are God's Chosen, Jesus, when speaking to the woman at the Well, said,"Salvation is of The Jews". Christians support Israel because it is the right thing to do !
Be Blessed in Christ Jesus !

Leaving aside the entire religious preferences, it is because Israel is a democracy. One of only a handful in the Middle East. This is why Israel is also recognized by Egypt and many other major countries. Palestine is and has been unclear in it's mission and governance.

I am Christian but not affiliated with any nationalistic causes. I don't believe in it. I was raised Jehovah's Witness and they don't affiliate with any political ideas either. I'm not one now, but anyway. They might be linked without telling anybody. They make a big show of not voting, but then for ten years between 1994 and 2004 roughly, they were NGOs with the United Nations, telling the UN that they were disseminating pro-UN stuff (that's OK; that's what prophets do - it means pro- in favour of and -phetes, speaker). They were simultaneously telling their members that the United Nations was one of the beasts of Revelation and therefore very dangerous to the Jehovah's Witness cause.

In regards to Israel:
Romans 11:25 I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers and sisters, so that you may not think you are superior: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in, 26 and in this way all Israel will be saved. As it is written:
"The deliverer will come from Zion;
he will turn godlessness away from Jacob.
27 And this is my covenant with them
when I take away their sins."
28 As far as the gospel is concerned, they are enemies for your sake; but as far as election is concerned, they are loved on account of the patriarchs, 29 for God's gifts and his call are irrevocable. 30 Just as you who were at one time disobedient to God have now received mercy as a result of their disobedience, 31 so they too have now become disobedient in order that they too may now receive mercy as a result of God's mercy to you. 32 For God has bound everyone over to disobedience so that he may have mercy on them all.
