Do you really believe a person simply wakes up one day and says "Hey I think I'm going to be gay today and be hated by society!"

Are you accusing me of being gay?
Dude my genes are perfectly fine, but I don't feel that it's right to prosecute a group just because of a preference they have and doesn't effect you in the slightest.

I am heterosexual... it is not a choice, it must be genetic, I knew it when I was very young. I believe the same is true for homosexuality. AND... I don't understand why so many people seem to have a problem with it.

This is the same as waking up in the morning and saying "hmmm, I think today I will be straight, find myself a good lookin honey and go make tons of babies" Its not something that I think about being a straight woman, thats just what I do. I don't think being gay is any different.

Pretty much, yea. In college I heard young guys saying that they "weren't sure if they were gay or not". Come on. Be for real. It is a choice. All the so-called "scientific evidence" that says "maybe" is never going to cut it. Gee, I can't figure why so many people are losing their "faith" in science and its credibility when people make such self-serving, patently assinine(no pun intended) assertions. Wow. If you're this or this, why-don't worry!!!! Either humanistic religion or science will make it allllll ok!!!!

Of course it's a choice. Even if you don't believe Gods word,(which I do) Romans 1 and Leviticus Nature dictates heterosexuality. that's how we reproduce not homosexuality thus insuring that a species will not be extinct. If homosexuality were not a choice we would already be extinct. Even plants reproduce heterosexually. Remember Ann Heche First she was strait then gay when it helped her career now she's strait again. How is that not choosing?

No. As with any sin it starts small and builds over time, so that from a certain standpoint one could take the position that any and all sin is just fine because we're just born that way. However, God set a standard and will not accept anything less than that standard, and that standard is total holiness. As a fallen creature, no human can ever hope to attain it, which is why it was necessary for Jesus to die on the cross to redeem us from sin, and to rise from the dead so that we might live. I don't bash on homosexuals because I understand that it is a sin, just like disobeying your parents is, or telling lies, and all the rest of the sins there are. Jesus died to forgive your sins and if you accept that sacrifice He will. The problem comes when you try NOT to sin. Aye yai yai!

You know you get really stupid people, namely the ones that think a gender is a choice, your either gay or your not, you cant turn gay any more than you can become female or male

Not usually, most have a variety of stories.. Usually they were turned when very young of had some type of situation in their life that caused them to turn.
There is not a single answer that will cover this question..
But it is definitely a choice.

Being Gay is a choice and this has been proven thousands of times. But I don't think they wake up one day and that's it.

This logic should by default also apply to those that have sex with children, right?
(I do not condone pedophilia of course, but the logic of those who are 'born gay' should apply across the board).
