If God gave us free will, why cant he take it away?
He did so with Judas.Eve ate from the tree, why was the tree there in the first place?I mean I can tell my dog not to eat that steak I put on the floor but it would be easier if I never put it there to begin with. And why would you let billions of people pay for something one person did so long ago?Thats holding a grudge for a long time.We cannot live in peace without him,oke fine but why let it go on so long? And Satan well if God is all knowing why did he create him in the first place,if he knew what would happen. Is god that petty that we have to come so close to destroying ourselfs before the game is over and he is satisfied that his point came across?I respect all religions and this is merely some q that have bothered me and I would like to see what you think.Altough I see most religions as myth,I believe every religion has something we can learn from. Thanks

I think God has the ability to control our wills when it suits Him.

God gave free will. Telling your dog not to eat something, gives him a choice. Well, if there is nothing there to eat, he doesn't have a choice! He can't eat it. So God gives us a choice and sometimes, we choose to do wrong. If someone told you that you weren't allowed to smoke in their car, but they don't own a car, you don't really have a choice do you? You can't because they don't have one. He could take away free will, but then our praise and fellowship would be worthless because we would be robots, basically. Good question, hope my answer helped an itsy bit.

You are struggling with the same decision Adam and Eve struggled with - do I obey God or do I obey Satan.

God took the first wicked group out with a flood.

God will take the next wicked group out with fire.

God has angels that will do every thing that He tells them to do. Yes, even Satan will do this. But God wanted children that He could fellowship with that could choose to love Him or not to love Him. He wanted to show Himself to them so they would know that He loved them and they would love Him back.

We give love and we receive love.
