I was born in Jainism religion. Jainism is practically not a religion... it is a way of life! Mahavira... the 24th Tirthankara of Jainism (preceptor) always preached that every human being has the potential of becoming a Mahavira... contrary to Christianity where Jesus Christ is treated as the only son of God. As per Mahavira... every human being is a true son of God who has but to gain enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) and salvation (moksha)!
In spite of being born in Jainism religion... I believed more in Hinduism... the roots! Hinduism religion flowered about 2500 years before Jainism. Initially came the Vedas (words of God) invoked by human beings through the means of Shruti. About 1500 years later followed Bhagavad Gita... the doctrine by Lord Krishna in Mahabharata.
Having understood the crux of life... the teachings of Bhagavad Gita in Hinduism contain all that is contained in Jainism and Buddhism but not vice versa... I followed the basic religion... the Hinduism beliefs. I was not wrong. Bhagavad Gita in Hinduism is one simple document... the follower of which becomes the knower of all... one practically becomes omniscient (Kaivalya Jnani).
Having realized God in 1993... All religions have become the same to me. My name has changed from Vijay Kumar Jain to Vijay Kumar. I have reached the source of all Wisdom contained in the Cosmos. For me... everything that is contained in Hinduism, Bhagavad Gita, Jaina doctrines, Buddhist scriptures, Bible and Quran is like ABC.
Hinduism broadly contains all that is required to be learnt by a human being in the spiritual pursuit of life. Mahavira followed Lord Krishna about 1000 years later. Followed him Gautama Buddha 77 years later! About 423 years later came Jesus Christ and then prophet Mohammed. Lord Krishna... considered an Avatar (God manifest in human form) came earliest. His teachings in Bhagavad Gita contain the real essence of life. There is nothing beyond Bhagavad Gita that is required to be learnt by a spiritual seeker. I am a Catholic Christian. I don't think that other religions don't have great things to offer, but just about everything that I am looking for in a religion is offered in Catholicism, which I believe is the fullest form and source of Christianity.
I believe that God is Love and from that flow the belief in the Trinity and IMHO all the other doctrines of Catholic Christianity.
I think people should learn about as many religions as they can because there is so much bigotry out there. There is also much misinformation about the different religions and their teachings.

im a muslim this is one way why i believe in islam theres alot of other things but this is just one Rome and Mecca : Conclusive Proof that Islam is the True Religion
Why is it that the Muslims have been allowed to build the largest or
one of the largest mosques in the World in Rome whereas the Catholics
are not allowed to build even a small pathetic chapel in Mecca?
This in itself is conclusive proof that even the Pope knows that Islam
is the one true religion and the Catholic Italians need Islam. Even if
this is not the case, the Pope knows that allowing the Muslims to
gradually transform the decadent Italian society into a PERFECT MUSLIM
SOCIETY will do a lot of good to the Italians.
Saudi Arabia on the other hand obviously does not need Christianity
because it is the PERFECT MUSLIM SOCIETY for Christian nations to
emulate. Apostates who left Islam are killed, adulterers are stoned,
thieves have their hands chopped off, women are liberated with
‘protective clothing’ in the sweltering heat etc. What other
improvements or reforms can one asks for??? If this is not the perfect
society what is???

Buddhism.
I think it's the right religion for me because I agree with the primary doctrine completely. Secondary doctrine I mostly agree with, but some such as re-incarnation, is iffy, but not something I care about one way or the other since it's not evident. I chose Buddhism over atheism because I feel a need for ritual, which atheism does not offer. Yes, I comparison shopped religion before picking the one that I believed in.

Jesus is the only way of salvation because He is the only One who can pay our sin penalty (Romans 6:23). No other religion teaches the depth or seriousness of sin and its consequences. No other religion offers the infinite payment of sin that only Jesus Christ could provide. No other “religious founder” was God become man (John 1:1,14) – the only way an infinite debt could be paid. Jesus had to be God so that He could pay our debt. Jesus had to be man so He could die. Salvation is available only through faith in Jesus Christ! “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).

I am a Catholic and it is the right religion because Jesus started it. It has every element and earmark of a Church that is of Jesus. One, Holy, Universal, Apostolic, does the reenactment of the his sacrifice at every "remembrance" (mass) feeds his sheep his body and blood for their life. This is it. Some others do parts of this but, not all and then we have his Mother as our Mother. Peter was our first Pope. Wonderful!!

I am Muslim (Note: Muslim NOT terrorist) and I think it is the right religion from reading the book of Allah (SWT) and from the teachings of our beloved Prophet Mohammad (PBUH)
And the amazing things that happen which are connected to Islam, for example when the asian tsunami happened, the entire village of Banda Achea was destroyed apart from the mosque which was left relatively intact.

Jehovah's Witness because it is the only one making sense. We were created in the image of God so the qualities reflected in the best of us are a pale shadow of His. Granted we have degraded that image but, the Bible shows what that image should be. Reasonableness is one.
We know God has a name. God is a title. That is reasonable. The Bible shows that is Jehovah. He has a son he personally created. His name is Jesus. The Bible shows that all other creations were made through Jesus. Like a father-son business. That is reasonable. Like a strong, powerful Father, His power is felt way beyond His home. We have all seen this with human fathers. The bible describes this as God's active force or holy spirit, not an individual at all, but a force to be reckoned with.
The Bible was written by Jehovah using men as secretaries. Secretaries take dictation but add changes for grammer and language and to an extent, point of view. They never change the meaning of the message. 39 secretaries over a 1610yr. period produced the 66 books which became the Bible. We should not think in earth time for 24 hr days apply only on earth. So 1610yrs. is nothing in Jehovah's time. This is reasonable.
The Bible was written for man with a point of view for the earth. With one author, all the 66 books must be in agreement. That is reasonable. If we think it is not, we must be reading it wrong. The theme of the Bible is Jehovah as creator of the earth and surroundings, has the right to rule all that He has created. Also, what Jehovah's purpose for the earth is. As a subtheme, how mankind should conduct themselves in private as well as with others.
Jesus came to earth from heaven to give a balance for the disobedience of Adam so Jehovah's purpose for the earth would be done. That of a perfect mankind filling the earth and making it a paradise under Jehovah's rulership. Jesus did this knowing he would have to die on a torture stake. He did this not only to do his Father's will but also, he had love for humans. Perfect man interupted that purpose and only a perfect man would bring back the balance. This is reasonable.
If Christians are followers of Christ as the name implies, then they must worship as he worshiped and do what he said do. That is reasonable. Jesus frequently quoted from the earlier books of the Bible. His life and teachings are found in the rest of the Bible. If the Bible is for something, Christians must be for it. If the Bible is against something, Christians must be against it. If there is something the Bible doesn't mention specifically, then Christians must follow the overall principles of behavior. That is reasonable.
For example, there was pagan worship in Jesus' time and also, worshipers claiming to worship Jehovah. How did he view those? He had nothing to do with pagans and harshly treated priests and moneychangers defiling Jehovah's temple in Jerusalem. Now while we are not to go beating up anyone, we can see we are to avoid such practices, have nothing to do with getting even the smell of it on us. Just like someone being around a fisherman, you soon smell like fish too. This is reasonable.
Just as Jesus treats his congregation of followers, we are shown how we should be as families. Following his example and specific guidance in the Bible gives us a good and happy family life.
We believe the Bible shows it is true by prophecies. History shows fulfillment of Bible prophecy long in advance. Like naming Cyrus as king of Persia a hundred years before he was born or Jerusalem's fall 50 years before it happened and how to be safe during that time. Since those have been proved true, then it is reasonable to trust that other prophecies in our future will be true also. Jesus said even he did not know what exact time that would be, only his father, Jehovah knew that, but he did give us signs that it was near. Dark clouds on the horizon gives us signs it will rain. So we can know soon, Jehovah will make changes to this world to bring it in line with Jehovah's original purpose.
This is already too long now. I would not want to read me much longer anyway. I will end here with just the one reason of reasonableness. Life justs make more sense as Jehovah's Witnesses.
