Every restaurant in the top 10 list is expensive. The prix-fixe prices do not include supplements - so you'll pay extra for choosing anything along the lines of/including lobster, caviar, truffles, etc. For tasting menus, it's typically required that everyone at the table opt for the/a tasting menu (there can be more than one tasting menu option). A meal at any of these restaurants is pricey, but in the end your beverage choices can make the bill truly obscene. While money doesn't seem to be an issue, your question indicates that you aren't exactly food/wine obsessed. That being said, you might consider consulting the sommelier for pairings. If you ask, he or she will suggest something appropriate for each course. With or without help you could pay between $75 and $30,000 per bottle. If all of that isn't enough, consider dinner at a chef's table (private room usually adjacent/connected to the kitchen), or if that's not an option, a kitchen tour. You'd have to be (or know someone) seriously connected for either of these, but you asked the question.

I think Masa is officially the most expensive, as others have noted. But you can always run up a higher bill somewhere else. A colleague of mine went to Per Se (in the same building as Masa) and dinner for two ended up being $1000. Totally ridiculous.

Either Per Se or Masa, both in the Times Warner Building. I believe Per Se is about $275 per person, Guess it's Frenchoid, and Masa is $300 or a litttle more, and Japanese. You need months to get reservations at either of these restaurants.

I don't have an answer, I'm just curious as to why you want the most expensive restaurant? If you really want to spend some money I'll cook and you can pay me. I'll charge a lot if that will make you feel better.

I believe it's on the top floor of the Time Warner Center and It's called Masa. It's Japanese cuisine and it's EXCELLENT.
