That gives huge discomfort to my soul. I can spare time for other things, why cant I spare more time to religion?

For many years I was wondering how I could do more works. But after long prayers to God, and long hours working, he showed me that in my job, I can share the plan of Salvation with others. People who are fixing to pass from this world, open their hearts and souls to caregivers who are there. Yes, I have prayed with people who were terminal as they prepared to draw their last breath.

We all have a job or calling and if we are a true Christian, God has a way in your daily life, to share the good news and above all, walk closer with him as a Christian.

I know God works in many ways, and I have watched patients who no one thought would survive, get stronger, and rebound and live long healthy lives. I didn't do it, in fact, many times, I have to double check to see what we as a team were able to do. God deserve the praise and Glory.

Don't worry about "religion" per se. That's just going through the motions or celebrating a ritual or tradition. Get close to Jesus Christ, no need for "religion". Then you will lose the discomfort to your soul. And you don't need to make time for Jesus Christ because you can always spend time with him no matter what you are doing. He knows your thoughts.

Trying to have a relationship with an institution is impossible. You will never "be good enough" regardless of how well you perform your "duties." You are describing salvation through your works. That will NEVER fly!

Build a relationship with Jesus Christ, not with a religion.
Religion is man's way of reaching up to God.
Jesus is God's way of reaching down to us.

Religious "duties" have no value.
None whatsoever.
Whatever is motivated by love is what counts.
Do you do those things because you love G-d & want to be near Him, or because not doing them makes you uncomfortable?

as long as you believe in god it doesn't matter iff you don't go to church but most religions you only have to attend church once a week.just say your prayers at night and while you are working you could say a few then it comes from the heart.
