130 guests cost about $8500 but that was 15 years ago.
Most expensive part was the catering hall/food.
Go with a DJ instead of a band, that saves big $$$

We are expecting to spend about $15,000 total on our wedding for about 200 guests. The only cost not included is our honeymoon. I'm not sure what the biggest cost is because it's an all inclusive package and I don't have a price breakdown. The ceremony and reception will both be a the same venue: a historical southern plantation. I know that the rental cost of the actual location was probably a good portion of the cost We will have a 2 hour reception with a small buffet of finger foods, nuts, mints, nonalcoholic drinks, and wedding cake so the food cost isn't outrageous. Hope that helps!

The most expensive thing for our wedding was the cake and it was worth every cent. Nearly $400. My dress was $50. It was on the sale rack at David's Bridal and it cost $50 to alter it. *It was too big*. The room was free because we had it at a community room in a subdivision where someone we knew lived. I purchased my minimal decorations and favors through Oriental Trading company online. In total that was probably about $75. We had about 40 guests. The food my mother in law provided. I have no idea what she spent. I created the invitations myself on my computer and purchased the blank stationary at Office max for about $60. Music was a DJ and a friend gave that to me as a wedding gift and the photographer was also a family friend and our pictures were done as a gift. Although...some of the BEST pictures were from the disposable cameras we had on the tables. My husband rented a casual tux and I don't recall what it cost. Everything was in the same room....wedding and party. Cheapest weddidng I could manage, lest the cake...and it rocked!

The total for our wedding was about $16,000. That includes everything except the honeymoon (even the rings). The most expensive part was the food and drinks, and that was about $7500. We had open bar for what ended up to be about 5 hours, with premium liquor. We had a total count of 93 people including us, plus 4 vendors with their meals as well. This was just last month in FL.

My husband and I had about 80 guests. We were married at sunrise on a public beach here in Florida, and it was absolutely breathtaking. Later, we had a luncheon reception at my mother's home. Our entire service and reception only cost us around $2000. The most expensive part was putting up the wedding party in a hotel room at the beach the night before the ceremony. We kept things simple, but it was gorgeous just the same!

We're paying for everything ourselves, apart from my dress (which my parents are buying for me) and the most expensive thing is food, we are having a buffet bbq style meal and the company we have hired to do this for us are providing everything for us, including staff and all the equipment and furniture that we may need, that has cost usjust over £1000 for 35 guests, but it's money well spent as we don't have to worry about coking the food and clearing up the mess afterwards. All together it is costing around £2500 for 35 guests

Our wedding will total just under $4000, including my engagement ring, both wedding rings, and the dress. We're having about 50-60 guests, at a garden wedding, with just a cocktail type reception. The garden will be in bloom, so there's no decorating to do, and for a reception, we booked a banquet room at a nearby hotel.

I'm not married yet, but I plan on having a small wedding, and a luxurious honeymoon. If you are on a budget, as I will be, create a wedding website. This will allow you to ask guests for money to recoup the cost of the wedding and allow them to contribute a great deal to the honeymoon. A friend of mine did this and she got almost half of the wedding costs back and a free honeymoon. Visit this website for more info:

The most expensive part is always the food for the reception. We had a wedding for around 200, had a buffet meal and full open bar. Spent too much on photos - the professional ones, and probably on flowers, though they were beautiful.

we spent about $7000 on our wedding.. the most expensive part was my dress... it was about $700.. we cut costs by doing all the food, decorations & invitations ourselves.. we were able to find a floral wholesaler that sells flowers to the public.. hiring a florist can be very expensive... we found a lady who was just starting out in the cake business and we able to get the wedding cake and grooms cake for about $300 for both... we had about 125 guest and we found a building that we could use for both the ceremony and reception (that saved money not having to pay facility fees for two places).. for decorations, we used a lot of ferns and other potted plants my mother in law had so that saved money too... we got a lot of ideas from websites about weddings on a shoestring budget!
