Then why not put your faith in evolution and science.
At least you have factual evidence in those instead of wasting your time on hearsay statements from centuries ago that have been proven wrong.

a Lot of religious people do have faith in science and evolution. religions do not always preclude reason and judgment, just all too often. there are a lot of major religions whose philosophies are not inherently impacted at all by the findings of science. even some whose faiths are augmented by them.
progress is so relative, progress in what?
understanding of the mechanics inherent within nature deserves a little consideration of the "soul" or "spirit" or "ego." it is all progress if it looks forward and is willing to change or even "evolve."

1) Because science hasn't proven itself worthy of my faith.
2) Because having faith in science isn't scientific.
3) Because the "icons" used to argue for evolution (Miller's prebiotic soup, Darwin's tree of life, Haeckel's embryos, and the usual examples of "missing links, archaeopteryx and Java Man, are of questionable scientific value.
And maybe what we're holding back is regress, not progress.

Do you have any proof 4 ur religion?If u do ask the ppl that have the proof.How did they find it? where did they find it ?when did they find it ? where did they find it?Ull see that u need 2 have as much faith if not more 2 believe in ur religion as u need to have in ours.And also,did they really prove our religoion wrong?How? when?Where?When?And are we really holding back progress or are we holding humanity from getting worse and worse?Man will never get better until they recieve Jesus as their savior.Ask yourself:Is man really getting better?Research.Why in all these so called "advanced" counrties is there so much violence ,hate,and planned crime?Download all the Kent Hovind series to get ur answers.

Science and relgion are not polar opposites like you think, they are actually connected Science explains When and How, religion explains Who and Why, one without the other is worthless

Evolution and science are principles based on theories, they also cannot and have not been proven. Christ came, died and rose again for you and I and this has been proven even by scientific, anthropological methods.
We are the progress, you are the one holding yourself back.
