I had an interesting experience with my youngest dog. She would bark when she got to the kitchen and nothing would be there. No mice, no sounds, nothing. It was an old house and I wondered..
Then I realized the living room and bedroom had hardwood floors and to get from the living room to the bedroom, or vice-versa, the dog had to go through the kitchen. The floor in the kitchen was tiled. What I have since learned, is for some reason my dog does not like the look or the feel of tiled floors and that was what she was balking and barking at.
Where I live now is carpeted except for the kitchen and their water bowl is in the kitchen at the edge of kitchen and carpeted hallway. She will lean over to drink her water but she will not go into the kitchen unless it is the only way she can get her treat.
Then she will run out real quick.
Quirky, but that is how she is.

A well-trained dog makes everyone happy, including his owner. Take a little time training him, and you'll never regret it; you'll always have an obedient dog by your side. Find more https://tinyurl.im/sWhEq
By their nature, dogs are pack animals with a well-defined social order. Through basic training, you need to consistently make sure your puppy understands that you are the leader, not him. So in teaching him the basic rules, you take on the role of pack leader.
To fit into the family circle, your dog must be taught to recognize his name and such commands as come, heel, lie down and sit.

A dog should be trained on how to eat, walk with you, not to bark, potty training and sleep on its place etc. You can teach anything to your puppy, dogs get trained easily with some good instructions. If you want some good training tips visit https://tr.im/doglessons
If properly trained, they should also understand whistle and gesture equivalents for all the relevant commands, e.g. short whistle or finger raised sit, long whistle or flat hand lay down, and so on.
It's important that they also get gestures and whistles as voice may not be sufficient over long distances and under certain circumstances.

Many times, a dog will bark if they hear a noise, even if they are not looking at where the noise is originating from.

We have a dog who does that. Sometimes we are able to figure out what she is barking at but that still doesn't explain why... but it won't hurt the dog.
