Its not "bad" to play with a OUIJA board, but its honestly a waste of time ... unless you're just looking for a good scare. It works by people subconsciously moving the planchette. You can swear up and down that you weren't moving it, and you might really believe that you weren't moving it, but you were. When scientists tested this, they placed blindfolds on people while they were using the Ouija board .... and most of them came up with utter nonsense.
Also, under the circumstances that you might contact the energy of a person or spirit, you have no control over who you contact. To think that you could specifically contact one person using a Ouija board would be absurd. You're basically opening the lines of communication to anyone who's willing to pick up the line.

The Ouija board or other talking boards are just a means of divination in the same catagory as Tarot Cards, Runes, Pendulums and scrying.
In divination you are opening yourself up to your higher self the one tied in to The Divine. When you pose a question you are receiving answers that you already know but are just not "in tune with".
Like other forms of magick one should have the knowledge before dabbling and I know others have different opinions on the topic but I use tools of divination and have a "gift" for it.
Bright Blessings!

A bad idea. Its possible to get really messed up by them - my dad knows people who have gone really mad from doing them. Sometimes if a bad spirit gets through bad luck can follow. Whatever its contacting there are real risks; literally playing with the unknown.
I think the only people who should ever dabble with that type of thing are people with natural mediumship abilities and are educated in how to use them.

In my faith it is believed that once a person dies there is NO WAY they can return to this world so when people claim that they have contacted spirits of the dead it is actually satan disguised as the dead person who u make contact with. He tries to fool u by making u think it's really the spirit of the dead person. So yeah, if u ask me I'd say it's bad to play with a ouija board.

Sorry I've been reading through your questions because I responded to your question about the UFO... and i just wanted to say that I think its funny because I'm Asian too!!! Okay only half asian...
Anyways... when I was a little kid I was playing with a weegie board with my friend... I didn't know anything about them... we had made one out of paper... my teacher came up and snatched the weegie board out from under our hands and told us that we would go to hell if we played with it... She scared me a lot and it was really embarrassing!! Ever since then I haven't messed with one because the teacher got so upset about it.

Yes. You might forget how to spell correctly if you play with it to much for one thing.
