Sweet and Sour Chicken

INGREDIENTS:
2-3 whole chicken, cut into sections, about 6 to 8 pounds
Soy Sauce
Water
1 small onion
10 mushrooms, sliced
1 (16-oz) can sliced or diced pineapple, drained and juice reserved
1 bell pepper, sliced or diced
2 (12-oz) jars sweet and sour sauce
hot cooked rice

PREPARATION:
Place the chicken in a large shallow baking dish baking dish (may have to use 2 baking dishes). Sprinkle chicken pieces generously with soy sauce. Add water to baking dish to about 1/4 to 1/2-inch depth. Layer onion, mushrooms, pineapple, pineapple juice, bell pepper, and sweet and sour sauce on chicken. Bake at 400° for 1 hour until done (less time usually required in gas ovens). To serve, place chicken, vegetables, and sauce on hot rice.

paprika
1/4 cup wine vinegar
1/4 cup water
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon pepper sauce

PREPARATION:
Salt and pepper chicken; in a heavy skillet, brown in butter. Place in casserole dish and sprinkle with paprika. Remove all but 2 tablespoons fat from skillet and add remaining ingredients. Heat and stir well. Pour over chicken in casserole and bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes. Baste several times during cooking.

Easy Sweet and Sour Chicken:

1¼ hours 10 min prep
6 servings

6 boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 (8 ounce) bottle Russian salad dressing
1/2 tablespoon garlic powder
1 envelope dry onion soup mix
5 ounces apricot preserves

1. Arrange chicken breasts in 9x13 baking dish.
2. Combine salad dressing, garlic powder, soup mix and preserves in a bowl and mix well.
3. Spoon over chicken breasts.
4. Bake covered at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
5. Bake uncovered until tender.
6. About 15 minutes.

This is tasty!!

2 1/2 cups cubed chicken
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/4 cup cornstarch
2 Tablespoons oil
1 can (13 oz) pineapple chunks, drained -reserve liquid
1/2 cup vinegar
1/2 cup sugar
1 medium green pepper cut into 1 inch squares
1/4 cup water
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 teaspoon soy
1 can (16 oz) small carrots, drained
3 cups cooked rice

Toss chicken and egg until all pieces are coated. Sprinkle 1/4 cup cornstarch over chicken, toss until all pieces are coated. Add oil to skillet. Add chicken pieces, cook over medium heat until brown. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside. Add enough water to reserved pineapple syrup to measure 1 cup. Stir liquid, vinegar and sugar into skillet. Heat to boiling stirring constantly. Stir in green pepper, heat to boiling. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 1 minute. Blend water and 2 tablespoons cornstarch, stir into skillet. Cook, stirring constantly until mixture thickens and boils. Boil and stir 1 minute. Stir in pineapple chunks, soy sauce, carrots and chicken, heat thoroughly. Serve over rice. 4 servings.

every thing is same...if u want to make sour chicken, just put some extra vineger or soya sause in it(can use also tomatoo sauce).....if u want to make sweet chicken, put some sugar on it..other wise, just cook as normal chicken.
