That's pretty much it.
Which is why I'm a heathen.

No.
You are right about the fat guy in the red suit. But whether or not God rose from the dead is a matter of opinion (or 'belief'). But you can demonstrate the logical necessity of God - the same can't be said for jolly old Saint Nick.

Leave the worrying about facts to others. Ask yourself about the meanings behind the stories.
Maybe you agree with them, maybe you don't. But don't get frozen on the whole "factual" issue. We're dealing with myth, symbolism, ideas far too large to be contained with dates, weights and measures.
Literalism is, IMHO, a tool of Satan to keep people from scratching beneath surfaces. Keep people debating on what season Christ was born in, or how tall he was, anything to keep them from THINKING about WHAT HE HAD TO SAY.
My 2 cents worth anyway. Let the flame emails from fundamentalists and rigid atheists commence...

I always think it's curious how a bit of rearranging turns God and Satan into Santa and dog. Coincidence? Maybe...
Of course I do believe in Santa. Crazy not to...

Apparently there is a lot of endless evidence for the existence of a real God it's just that I have personally never come across any of it myself. Santa turned out to be my Mum, I stayed awake one night pretending to be asleep and sure enough it was she who crept in and filled my stocking...the presents were equally welcome however, I never said anything because I didn't want to spoil it for her..

I believe that you have that correct. The premise of many religions is to believe what you cannot see and follow the directions of it's leaders, since regular folk can't know...
Some religions care not about spirituality, they care about the control they have over people, money and resources.
Dispute their legitimacy, and there are nasty consequences (both real and imagined).

How many people have seen Santa Claus? If someone came to you and say I saw Santa Claus, would you believe him? Why not?
On the other hand, you have four accounts of Jesus' life, death, and resurrection. You either believe them or not.
There is nothing tangible. Only belief and hope.

You are WRONG on both counts
Nicholas actually did slide down chimneys when he was converted. However, if you believe that he's sliding down yours, you are deluded.

I appreciate your line of reasoning, but you're going to be hard pressed to find many religious people who see this as a real question.

God gave you life your living it. its not his fault if u are not walking in his presence need to know more e-mail me jesusinspiration@aol.com
Where is God? If you are a believer in Jesus Christ, God is with you, beside you, above you, and inside you. God’s presence and watchful care never leaves you. If you are not a believer in Jesus Christ, God is right in front of you, inviting you, drawing you, offering you the love, mercy, and grace that He longs to give you. If you are unsure of your relationship with God through Jesus Christ, “Where is God?” is “Where are you, in relationship to God?”
