Sartre believed that people lie to themselves and, underneath these lies, people negate their own being through patterns. The preceperi is similar to what today is called insight. It is necessary to get rid of bad faith.

When faith leads to magical thinking, denial of fact, and oppression or killing of others... then faith IS unhealthy for some people.

If you excise Bad Faith, wont it create a 'vacuum'?
Good faith cannot survive alone, in the same way as a lack of faith requires the balance of faith.
Perhaps there is no Bad Faith, per se, but only bad 'lies'.
The truth may, and I stress May, lie in education.
If people know how to differentiate between that which will harm them, and that which is benign, then the choice is theirs.
There will always be 'evil' in the world, that is an unfortunate fact of life.
A man who can discern between 'good' and 'evil' makes his choices freely, and isn't freedom the 'ultimate goal' of our hedonistic culture?
It's all in the way you market these things, Old Man.
More carrot, less stick, draws the proles in every time.
Tell them an educated man is a happy man and they'll pay for any 'textbook' you care to shove under their noses.
It's what's in the book that will ensure the perpetuation of the cycle...
Cynically, Yours.

Interesting. I like it when I am taught new things.

It is easy to put faith in the wrong person. You end up hurt and disappointed. I won't go there again.

I think that it is more beneficial to rely only on yourself. I know that God will not save me from my house payment. I can only take care of that myself.

A person should ask themselves if their faith causes them to be judgmental of others that are different. If it does than you must question that faith.

No not unhealthy, BUT trying to Walk in a Higher Level of Faith (when your not really there at all) CAN get you into Trouble.

Example:
You are not Healed Instantly--until the Healing MANIFEST's INSTANTLY.

Otherwise, you better go see ole' DOC and take your Medicine AND Your FAITH with you!
Some healings take Time! (most really).
Ditto..........

Is doesn't matter if you believe in God, Jesus, Angels, etc., but God believes in you! The moment you start to question your existence in this negative swamp land called Earth, you are indeed on the right path and the answers will soon unfold for you. So have faith in yourself because in the end, you are all that matters!

Faith built on lies is unhealthy - especially if one tenant of that faith is not to question the foundations.

Unhealthy for those who are busy doing nothing by searching for "God/Jesus, etc..." I guess. It's hilarious that some people even proclaim "I found God or I found Jesus or I was reborn through God or I was reborn through Jesus" No such thing. A person could only be born or reborn through a mother or pregnant woman!

It's especially unhealthy for those the faithful deem as unclean.

Faith is unhealthy for everyone when used to rationalize dangerous behavior.

Ex. hatred or killing in the name of religion, god or beliefs.
