If you are serious and you really believe in God then you know that you can pray to Him and ask Him to help you to understand. After all He is the author of all these mysteries isn't He? You can also look for bible commentaries. Mathew Henry is a good one. God loves a heart that is willing to learn and will be more than happy to help you. Some things take time to understand and some things might have to be answered by God in person when you meet Him. God Bless you!

1) Learn the original languages (Greek, Hebrew, Aramaic)

2) Read books about the historical and cultural environment of the Bible, and make sure that the books you read are written by reputable scholars - (if you need help, start with the Anchor Bible)

3) Don't insert a supernatural explanation where it is not needed

4) Remember that the Bible was written about the revelation of God to man - but it is not God's revelation to man.

5) Study the writings of the Church Fathers.

Read commentaries by enlightened individual who can lead to deeper understanding.

I recommend "The Second Coming of Christ" by Paramhansa Yogananda published by The Self Realization Fellowship. It is powerful, incredible, a key to unlocking the mysteries. Also his book on the Bhagavad Gita. It took me many decades to find this powerful information. It is transforming.

Only divine intervention allows you to read between the lines and understand the text for what it really says. An unbeliever does not grasp the concept of a lot to the Bible because it is foolishness to him/her. Just pray for the Lords guidance.

Your knowledge of the bible ends where your acceptance of those precepts ends. If you refuse to believe that 2+2=4, then He will make sure that you won't understand that concept. He won't waste time making you understand that which you don't want to believe.
