- Well I know of 17,000 scientists who think global warming is a scam, lol. Check out the link and look in the left hand corner if you don't believe me.

So what is Sheryl Crow talking about?

here's what i think, the planet has been here for a few billion years so i have my doubts that just a few hundred years of industrial pollution is going to make much of a dent when compared to say being hit by meteors going through ice ages and so fourth and in case no one has noticed the planet seems rather capable of defending itself ie: those people in pango pango or where ever that are frozen in volcanic ash, gee i wonder if they feel like a threat to the planet today? you have to expect that kinda thing when you build your house at the bottom of a volcano nothing will ruin the resale value like a little lava in the living room. the earth was here long before us and chances are it'll be here long after us. personally i think it's arrogant at best to say that we've done anything to the planet that it won't recover from

Global warming is a scam. I haven't figured out exactly who benefits from such a hoax but evidence leads to the one world government types. Another answer points to what is generally accepted by the public but if the general public is being manipulated then what credibility does that give global warming? Any Scientist that disagrees with the claims of man made global warming have their funding cut off of get fired, threatened, discredited and have their reputations ruined. The most disgusting thing is that developing nations in the third world are expected to follow new emission standards and environmental regulations imposed by the UN that cripple and stunt the growth depriving the nation of much needed electricity and transportation infrastructure. The rich get richer and the poor get screwed. Many scientist have came out saying that globlal warming is caused buy the sun. World temps directly correlate with sun spot cycles and the amount of cosmic radiation. The CO2 levels measured in ice core samples were misused in AL Gore's film. The CO2 levels go up after a warming event not before therefore Co2 cannot possibly be the cause. The video below outlines these things and much more.

The notion that there is a consensus among scientists is to deflect scrutiny of the science. If everybody agrees, then it must be right, so there is no need to question the science. That of course is propaganda.

The funny thing about government is that they only spend money on research were they think there is a problem. Climatology went from an obscure study with little funding to a major area of study with billions of dollars of funding. If the global warming issue goes away, so does their grants.

Other governments campaign with global warming as an issue. Do you think that these politicians want to see evidence against global warming and make them out to be wrong.

Here is a list of peer review articles that do not support the theory. http://www.friendsofscience.org/documents/Madhav%20bibliography%20SHORT%20VERSION%20Feb%206-07.pdf
But I have read people say there is no dispute in the scientific community. That is a lie. So the question is if they are lying about that, what else are they lying about.

I am also sick and tired of people taking the moral high ground on this issue. We care about the environment also. But we care about human more. Reducing co2 levels by 60-80% that many extreme environmentalist say we must is going to cause major disruptions to our economy. These people just do not care about the plight of people. If they did they would not make such claims.

If people think that doing some more walking, biking, and replacing a light bulb is the answer, I suggest you do some more research. If global warming is true that will not achieve anything. Interviews with environmentalists that I have heard say we have to ban planes, and automobiles in the cities.

I have a solar powered water heater. It is great as long as there is sun. When the sun goes away so do the hot water. The few wind turbines we have kill millions of birds each year. What will happen if we install millions of wind turbines, how many birds will that kill?

Implementing the Kyoto protocol is going to cost countries trillions of dollars every year in perpetuity. I would rather see money spend on the serious issue of the environment like clean air and water or helping out the elderly and not on some false theory.

It's probably more like100,000 scientists that think global warming is mostly manmade, at least. 99+% of all scientists think that.

The Oregon Petition is a dubious document. Some of the signatures seem to be bogus. "Perry S. Mason" (the fictitious lawyer?), "Michael J. Fox" (the actor?), "Robert C. Byrd" (the senator?), "John C. Grisham" (the lawyer-author?) But, since the petition has nothing but the name of the signer, there's no real way to check. It was sent out basically as a scam (it tried to look like an official document from the National Academy of Sciences which issued a press release denying it had anything to do with it) by a political organization specifically to be used to oppose the Kyoto treaty. Checks have been unable to verify that many of the signatures are from scientists. More here:

Here's the truth:

"Regardless of these spats, the fact that the community overwhelmingly supports the consensus is evidenced by picking up any copy of Journal of Climate or similar, any scientific program at the AGU or EGU meetings, or simply going to talk to scientists (not the famous ones, the ones at your local university or federal lab). I challenge you, if you think there is some un-reported division, show me the hundreds of abstracts at the Fall meeting (the biggest conference in the US on this topic) that support your view - you won't be able to. You can argue whether the consensus is correct, or what it really implies, but you can't credibly argue it doesn't exist." -gavin

Dr. James Baker - NOAA

"There's a better scientific consensus on this [climate change] than on any issue I know - except maybe Newton's second law of dynamics". -Deltoid, ECOS Letter

Those 2000 get there pay check from the global warming research.
The CO2 problem is taken care of by the plants.
The methane is a lie.The environmentalist put out all kinds of numbers but how did they measure it. Methane is very light and will go very high in our atmosphere . Where did they get there no.

The scientists who think global warming is a
scam dont want to face the reality of the fact that our
EARTH
is dying.

We use so much carbon dioxide and other chemicals
they go into the air and make the greenhouse effect even worse so our earth is slowly heating itself.

Plus all the carbon dioxide and other chemicals in the air burned a hole in the ozone layer that protects use from the suns rays so now they are coming through even more and are heating our planet to.

freaking idiots...people are so naive and stupid these days they dont realize that if we dont do something soon it will change everything. its already starting to change our climate.
