Jesus' death changed everything. There had to be a perfect sacrifice for sin, someone who was willing to die for you because you are imperfect. Jesus paid that price with his death. If he was still in the tomb, then it wouldn't have changed anything, but since many testified that he rose again and that they saw him walking and talking after his death, then his death meant everything. It's all of our hope.

Jesus is the way! Jesus took our sin upon Himself (2 Corinthians 5:21). Jesus died in our place (Romans 5:8), taking the punishment that we deserve. Three days later, Jesus rose from the dead, proving His victory over sin and death (Romans 6:4-5). Why did He do it? Jesus answered that question Himself, "Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends" (John 15:13). Jesus died so that we could live. If we place our faith in Jesus, trusting His death as the payment for our sins - all of our sins are forgiven and washed away. We will then have our spiritual hunger satisfied. The lights will be turned on. We will have access to a fulfilling life. We will know our true best friend and good shepherd. We will know that we will have life after we die - a resurrected life in heaven for eternity with Jesus!

This is the most important question anyone can ask. The even more important thing is understanding the answer.
The bible tells us that all of us are sinners, each one of us has sinned in life. A holy God cannot look upon sin. Therefore the problem is, how to reconcile sinful humans to a holy God? That is why Jesus came. Jesus was God made flesh, as the bible tells us in John 1. He was fully man, but also fully God. He never sinned. The sacrifice was needed, of blood, to wash away our sins. That is why Jesus willingly went to the cross; He knew only by His death will all those who repent of sin, and believe in Him, be able to enter the kingdom of God one day, after death.
Those who do not repent of sin and do not believe in Christ as their savior, when they stand before God, they will stand alone. They have died in their sins, and the wages of sin the bible says, is death. They will be lost forever.
It is only through the imputed righteousness of Jesus Christ that we obtain salvation. The cross is a lot more than a symbol. It is our blessed assurance that, as the word of God tells us, "whomsoever believes in Him (Jesus) shall not perish, but have eternal life".

I certainly don't claim to have a complete knowledge of this, but perhaps I can shed some light on the subject.
Jesus accomplished what is commonly called the Atonement by somehow taking upon Himself the sins of the world, suffering for them, and dying. He somehow was able to experience the depth of human suffering so He could fully understand humanity and become the perfect judge.
To the extent we can have faith in Him as the perfect judge, we can be freed from the effects of sin (e.g., anger, guilt) through the process of repentance. Part of this process requires that we change our lives to be in line with His teachings and to forgive one another.

it makes alot of people believe in new religion ..
and made some use his death to create him as a god ..
The Question is .. is he really a god as christianity ??
is he just a faked person and a big liar as jew says ??
Is himjust a prophet as Muslims think ??
His Death .. one of humanity biggest problems .. and sure it makes alot of change ..
at least 100 millions died on Religious wars ..
and over 500 years of Crussade wars ..
more than 35 millions of priests and missionaries now in the world gaining their income through the word of Jesus ..
means more than 3767 billions of dollars yearly .. the churches around world get .. every year ( according to 2005 ) .
So more than 3767 billion dollars .. is not a nice change ..
lol ..
Hope that some day we will know the all truth ..

Great Question!
How is Jesus' death connected to cleansing all human sins?
Jesus' death allows us to ask for forgiveness of sins and live with His love in our life to outpour to others.
Jesus came to show that God sees through to your heart no matter what others around you may say. He only asks that you let him in.
Here is a quote from a great Preacher CH Spurgeon
Friend, the Lord can blot out all your sins. I make no shot in the dark when I say
this. "All manner of sin and of blasphemy shall be forgiven ." Though
you are steeped up to your throat in crime, He can with a word remove the
defilement, and say, "I will, be thou clean." The Lord is a great forgiver.
"I believe in the Forgiveness of Sins." Do You?
How could he show anything good by dying- You asked.
The power was not just in the dying but in the rising. He is risen and alive.
I understand your view of he died (so what's the big deal) kind of thing. It's so much more than that.
Only by allowing God to reveal himself to you are you able to experience the freedom of love and forgiveness that He wants to show you.
He asks that you come as you are. No matter what state you are in.
As human beings, how often do we shut out people because of looks or talent, etc. Our God says- I want you without having to put up the airs or social masks. His Love penetrates and heals.

If you don't believe in the Jesus-God connection, then what you said sounds about right. By being a martyr, he encouraged the other Christians of the time to be willing to die for the cause as well. Since Christians were persecuted a great deal, then his martyrdom was essential for the longterm success of Christianity.
The Biblical explanation for his sacrifice is that God, who is admittedly wrathful and justice-obsessed, needed blood to be shed in exchange for the crimes of humanity. Jesus came along and said "Take me, not them," so he was killed and spent a couple days in Hell so that we wouldn't have to- like a tradeoff.

Jesus' Father was God and not a man as Jehovah God transferred his angelic son's life from heaven into the womb of Mary to be born as a perfect human. Since Jesus was perfect and without sin he should never have died as death is the wages sin pays. Because Jesus allowed himself to be put to death on unfounded charges he was able to offer his perfect human life when he entered back into heaven before his Father as a ransom to buy back Adam's perfect life that he forfeited when he sinned. By doing so, everyone exercising faith in that ransom sacrifice and doing the will of God can have his sinned washed clean by Jesus' spilled blood giving us hope of everlasting life.

You probably have it figured right... The whole business of his death is a little fishy, isn't it?
Dieing for the sins of others is rather hokey - how did that help? And, although I agree that he taught some very good lessons about how people ought to get along with their neighbors, enemy or not, he also made some outlandish claims which set him apart from being "normal" of mind - believing himself to be the son of "god," for example, is a rather telling hint into the questionable state of his mental health. He was possibly a delusional psychotic.
I think the entire Jesus story is an over-told and dramatically embellished history. Believing the bible histories of Jesus as if they are an accurate account of his life, requires either a great amount of guile or an even greater heap of naivete on the part of the reader... Either way it's just foolishness to die for the reasons Jesus is said to have had. It was a pointless exicution that others, his deciples, tried to profit from by lending it some extraordinary reasoning following his death.
It's just political silliness, isn't it.
