When I was in Florida I went to a BBQ & Cowboy show at Disney. There was free beer all evening as it was sponsored by the brewery that produces Bud etc.
I drank 40 Large paper cupfulls that night and allthough I don't know the actual capacity of each cup (about a half pint I guess ) I still walked out of there without so much as a wobble or a slur.In fact I did'nt see anyone who was drunk.
I concluded that American beer is about as strong as Britsh tap water. So in answer to the question, it's probably the Yanks that can drink the most quantity,but as ever they have absolutely no quality.

I don't like beer so the most I've ever drank has probably been one bottle with a struggle. I think that the Brits drink the most.

Its official: the Brits.
When my brother was based in Germany, US personnel were warned not to drink with British military. Those who ignored this sound advice usually had to be smuggled back into camp in the early hours by giggling Brits as the Americans would be totally wasted.
Sad but true.
P.S. For really hard drinkers though, don't mess with the Russians. Thank goodness the Cold War wasn't a drinking competition. We would have been creamed....

Back when I was in college, I think I topped out at 36 beers. But that was for an all day party for finals starting at 7 a.m.! And included a 2 hour nap in the afternoon before heading out to the bars until 2 a.m. I don't think I could pull that off anymore!

Done a 24 pack over the course of a day and it made me ill for about a week....we Brits are the world leaders when it comes to alcohol consumption

A whole heap......I can't remember how many...the most I ever drank was when I was a teenager and I passed out....I remember coming to and all I could see were peoples eyes?!.....scary! Brits are the biggest drinkers...it's a fact. I'm not proud of it but it's true!

The British are the beer and ale drinkers because those over the water mainly drink fizzy pasteurised lagered concoctions like Bud and Coors.We probably drink less but are more discerning !

At a Rugby 7's competiton,in the course of an afternoon and an evening I quaffed 22 pints of Guinness stout, indeed lucky that I was injured that day, almost pure genius.

Don't try to drink more beer than an Aussie.

the most i remember having is about 12 or 13. prolly brits although i know some americans who can really put it away.
