whatever you use in replace of ice-cream (milk, soy, coffee or water) make sure the fruit you use (if you choose to) has been put into the freezer, just do not leave it in there until frozen! Bananas work excellent....but almost any fruit will do.
It will give a thicker texture to your drink, like a milk shake. This is a trick to replace ice cream, for those of us who are watching our waistlines...lol.

Freeze some coffee in an ice cube tray. Blend with milk, sugar and vanilla. You can even add some chocolate or caramel ice cream topping if you have it. Yummy!

This isn't really a milkshake but it's fantastic and tastes so good.

Half a cup of sweetened soya milk
1 banana
1 small pot of natural yoghurt
2 teaspoons of honey

Blend all this together - it's soooooo nice

You might want to try yogurt and ice and milk... its not going to taste as good but it will be the closest thing to it... kind of like a smoothie I guess...
