What??? Why would you kill her? Why would she die if you took her to a vet? Take her to a no-kill shelter - ASAP! ( You say nothing about your dog being ill or injured.)

I hope that the vet can do something to help her but if not it would be better for her to being humanely euthanized. They feel no pain then any way that you could kill her. Also, if you don't do anything she could die a painful slow death.

For the person that said take to the ASPCA they are no-kill shelter, do some research because they aren't!

What is wrong with your dog exactly?

I'm disturbed by this attitude people seem to have that if they take their pet to the vet they will just be told 'it has to die'. Listen: vets can't put your animals to sleep without your permission!

If your dog is ill, the best thing you can do is take him/her to the vet. They will discuss ALL treatment options with you, not just say the animal has to die! You won't have to do anything you don't want to.

I don't know what is wrong with your dog, but be aware that one day you may have to face the fact that the kindest thing you can do is let your dog go - remember we always outlive our beloved pets, sadly.

Please take your dog to the vet, don't be scared!

Take her to the vet. The only way to find out if your dog has a chance at living, or not, is to get a medical opinion. If she doesn't have a high risk of surviving, then have the vet humanely euthanize her. Never try to do so yourself.

Of course you don't want her to die! But you need to face this. To begin with, how bad off IS she? How is her quality of life? Is she in pain? Is she bad off enough that you can't stand to see her suffer? If so, you need to take her to the vet. I'm so sorry you're loosing your beloved pet. But we all face that from time to time simply because they don't live as long as we do. Death is a part of life, after all.

Have someone take her to the vet to put her down for you. I know its a hard choice to make and you wll probably cry your little heart out but your the one that knows your dog and by that you can determine what really needs to be done!

I know how you feel and im sorry ,I went through the same with my german sheppard, his hips gave out and he could not walk anymore and i had to have him (put down) as they say it, but in my heart i knew it was me deciding to kill him and i didn't have it in me to do it myself,I held him until he died and it was the worst experience of my life and i am still scarred from it and won't have another dog

Is your dog sick? Does she definatley need to be put down? Just think... is she in pain? If she is don't you want her out of her misery or do you want her to live in pain? I want to be a vet and i would only put down a dog in pain... I hope you make the right desicion. x x x

Take her to the vet. There may be something they can do. They can't put her down without asking you first.
