Explain to me why these big super powers such as UK, the US, Japan, and China allowing little tiny Iraq and Afgan intimidate them?? Why don't we just blow them away?? We have the military power to do so. And yet we keep catering to them hoping "They will be wise and get diplomatic like the US" while they blow our soldiers away!!
I mean we act like scared little puppies who have been abused around them. The US showed Japan (who is bigger than iraq) they weren't going to take their crap with dropping the atom bomb and Japan showed they weren't afraid of the US with the attack of Peral Harbor.
And all of the superpowers are just basically rolling over and playing dead with Iraq and Afagn. Am I missing something here??

have you ever performed the sport the place you're in a circle and whisper the message onto the subsequent individual. by the tip of the around the unique message has replaced into some thing diverse, each and every each and every now and then logical each and every each and every now and then not. nicely, its like that with folklore and mythologies. those memories the place handed on from technology to technology, from god knows ways till now, be being retold hundreds of situations. Giving them a great number of time to develop right into a type that we are able to easily wager what their beginning place is. All you necessary for the unicorn myth develop into somebody traveling to Africa and seeing a rhinoceros. attempting to describe some thing you have seen to those who've in no way seen it is not uncomplicated. Then later in comes a dealer with a Narvel horn. Voila! Unicorns emerge into folklore.

conventionally we are actually at our limit of our conventional military power, plus politically we are limited to fight this war without unleashing all our military might including nukes,

the conventional forces, aka soldiers tanks, planes is actually a small force, we do not have the large military of the 80's...that is gone, gone and sold in the 90's for the funny made up 'budget surplus" scheme, which in reality was money taken from defense. (base closures, ships decommissioned, half the forces retired of disassembled)

so today we have a small military stretched to the limit!

so the only way we could really "blow them away" at this point in time would be to go nuclear and really start vaporizing areas of the middle east but that will never happen.

As much suffering as we've caused the completely innocent PEOPLE of Iraq; it would have been more humane to nuke them in 2003 and get it over with!! I want all the idiots who condone the war in IRAQ to think about that! Nothing to do with Afghanistan where the enemy ACTUALLY IS!!! Btw. fifteen of the nineteen 9/11 Hi-jackers were Saudi's! How come no one's bombing them? CAUSE WE NEED THEIR OIL YOU FOOL!!!

Tactical nuclear strikes will kill far more civilian casualities on the surface than it'll kill terrorists in their bunkers. That means it's a ground war, cave-by-cave, hidden-bunker-by-hidden-bunker.

The terrorists know the terrain. They blend in with, and have the support of, the local population, which tells them our movements. Their weapons are on-hand and stockpiled, instead of sitting on a base hundreds of miles away. They know every hiding spot and ambush point, and 10 years of war against the Soviets gave them U.S.-made weaponry and practical experience.

Where we say that we're bigger, they say we're exposed.
Where we say that we have more resources, they consider themselves as resourceful.
Where we have money, they think of us as too dependent on a government halfway across the world.
Where we say we can blow them away with missiles, they point out that we can't win a ground war.

We want to take out the terrorists...not the governments that we set up after knocking out the previous regimes.

That's just not how the US military works. They aren't all about total domination, they are about taking it by force. Which you would thing hey blowing them up is force right, well no, they want to take it physically. So give it time, im sure soon enough we will be at war with everyone.

we dont have anyone in power with a big enough set of gonads to do it! we have to have manners now because the person in charge has allowed himself to be pushed around by the libs. we could do it without a nuke, and they still wont let us! some little iraqi terrorist might get their eyebrow sprained....

Because the killing of innocent people is a war crime by the geneva convention. Not that bush cares to much about the geneva convention. Watch the movie "Dr. Strangelove"
