If you can , land in Toronto instead. Hamilton airport ( JC Munroe ) has very bad access to main highways. If there is no traffic , you can get to downtown Toronto in an hour and a half . For some reason , there is no quick way to get to Highway 403 from the airport and thats what you need to get to T.O ( you can mapquest it )

This airport is in Mount Hope, just south of Hamilton. It is a small airport and easy to navigate.

The best way to get from the airport to Toronto is to exit the airport going south, following the signs for Highway 6. Follow the highway until it merges with 403 East. Follow 403 East to Toronto. Easy access since the new Highway 6 was built.

It's about 50 miles to downtown Toronto.
