I've heard some mixed things on the canned cat food. I'm pretty happy with the dry food I feed him (Hill Science for kittens). I want to make sure my cat eats well but I also don't want to go crazy spending money on it. Please suggest a good affordable brand. I don't know which ones are best. Once I have a better idea of what is out there I can probably get some cans in bulk from Costco. Thanks.

9 lives!! My cat LOVES it! I buy the 24 case that has a variety, but make sure your cat doesn't have a fish food every day for many days in a row, its not good for them.

9 lives doesn't have a recall!! STAY AWAY FROM IAMS!

If it's just an occasional treat, like my cat gets once a week, there isn't really a bad brand. Just make sure you get kitten food not cat food as it's too hard for their little tummies to deal with.

If it's for something specific, like your kitten is underweight or has some sort of medical problem, then I'd get what my vet recommended.

With new recalls coming out frequently, it's like playing Russian Roulette with cat food. Scary! The people who gave their pets the tainted food thought they were giving them love and good care. SO TRAGIC! The FDA announced that they did random sampling and found over 400 stores still had tainted food on their shelves!!! Be very careful!

I feed Friskies when I give them wet food (I also feed them Friskies Dry food) and they are happy, healthy,.... and still alive (thank God!!!!).

I feed Blue Buffalo canned food once a week to my cat. She loves it. I'm unsure of what would be available at your local Costco though.

I have 2 cats. One loves Nine Lives Tuna select. Not expensive at all. Not in gravy. She eats it everyday and is now 14years old.
The other cat only eats dry IAMS.
They are both healthy.
