It's a tie between a beef or pork. Depends upon the mood and what's on sale that week. I can have either and be happy.

For beef, an oven roast I like a sirloin tip roast. For special times, a standing rib roast. For busy Sunday's, a pot roast using a 7 bone roast or short ribs are very good.

For pork, oven roasting I like a pork loin or pork butt (actually a shoulder) or ribs. If I have time, in the smoker a pork butt and ribs.

A distant third is roasted chicken.
At a very distant forth is Ham.
A rare 5th is Turkey.

I'd like to have lamb more often, but nobody else likes it other than myself.

A nice pork tenderloin is always good, or a ham. For beef I like a top round roast or a chuck roast depending on your cooking method - marinades, roasting time etc.

I like to do a Small serlion tip Roast.
Say3 to 5bls,
First add a little Garlic Powder, salt and Ground Pepper
to all sides. (rub it in with your hands.)
Put it on the On the Barbie. Use your meat thermometer'
You want it like your steak inside. You can add your baker
potatoes on the Barbie too. This way you can make your
salad and have you whole meal ready.
Hope this helps?
Ben

roast beef or roast pork...another tip for cooking it, try putting it in the slow cooker. comes out tender and juicy. just put in the roast, add any vegetables you want (i use carrots and potatoes) and fill with half water.

A rump roast is a good choice. I like to cook it in a crock pot until it falls apart and serve with mashed potatoes and gravy.

Lamb is pretty good, but I have to have a Yorkshire Pudding even though it should go with beef.
