I know that's a trick question - so no, it would not be wonderful for the world to be taken over by the US. Although some countries think that is already the case.

Great for who? Not great for the people of the US. I don't see the rest of the world clamoring for such a takeover. Maybe it would solidify the hold the multinational corporations have on the global economy. But probably not. They thrive on political confusion. So I'm guessing no.

america records nearly all domestic telephone calls and can arrest people without cause and detain them for an extendd period of time without trial.
also more people die in america by being shot than the rest of the developed world combined.

Yes the more I think about it the better I like the idea!
One world wide set of laws, the only thing that I could see spoiling the principle, are religions.

Only if we found a way to keep cultures intact. this world has so many diverse and interesting cultures it is nice to go and visit and learn from them. We can grow in knowldge by this diveristy. If it was all americanized why leave home?

The USA already has; it was done through "Hollywood, MTV, VH1." There is not a corner of the globe that has not been infected by this trio of garbage.
