We have light sage green upper walls---lower part of walls and cabinets are white---floor is a natural looking stone color (not real light though--more tanish) tile with the countertop the small matching tile. I need to know if I should go with a white sink and white appliances or my hubby says to go with black appliances and ???sink. We currently have a stainless steel sink and not sure we want to go with that again. Need suggestions of people who can "visualize" this and help. Thanks

My personal thing is to have a light coloured kitchen. When cooking it makes everything feel clean and nice.

Black is ok, but really you end up with little spills that you don't notice, especially at night. I am currently living in an apartment with a dark kitchen and I really dislike it, it doesn't make me want to cook at all. Afterall, dark spaces are where cockroaches love to live.

In decorating I suggest that you start with an idea, then everything fits nicely into that. For example, my idea for a kitchen is bright and relaxed. Then everything is white. Use your curtains and other decorating items to add splashes of colour and warmth.

For a cool, neutral, I would use stainless steel sink, and silver or grey appliances. This looks more professional than black and less girly than white (which is why I think your husband doesn't want white).

I think white would be the way to go. It seems black would stand out to much. Stainless steel sink so that over the years you won't see the scraches from dishes.

I would go black appliances, with black siligranite sink and
faucet.....to match.....i would also re-do my cabinets, a dark
grey or black.....and do all the walls as you did the upper wall
light sage.......I am visualizing quite an impact.....gorgeous.

I think the black would be awesome. My daughter had a black granite sink that was gorgeous and surprisingly light weight. I think black for the appliances would really look classy.

I'd go for light colours all round as dark colours make the room seem darker. Light colours give the room a nice light,
