a sun conure's scream, to be more precise..
can i get pitch deaf ? Will tuning an instrument (violin) be more difficult??

annoying. yes. harmful to your hearing? not that i know. i think that a sound has to be sustained, not just loud, for it to harm your ears. parrot screams are loud, but since they do them for a short duration (perhaps repeatedly but still for a short duration), i don't think they can hurt your ears. however, if your ears are hurting...well, you might need to get rid of your parrot. not to mention that it is probably not the greatest to try and practice a violin with a screeching parrot in the house. if you are talking about a neighbor's parrot I would say it is even less likely it will damage your ears but even more likely that is very very annoying.

Im not sure anyone has research on this. I would LOVE to have proof however as our next door neighbors are so so loud and irritating especially in the evening. I can only imagine how much worse the poor birds feel locked up in a cage when they should be in their habitat.
