So the religious right only supports war if it's in Iraq???

So a handful of Orthodox Jews want to abolish Christmas because they claim it violates some ancient edict that gentiles aren't allowed to make their own holidays, and you claim that it is a 'War on Christmas'??

They've only managed to get 240 names on their petition to abolish US aid to the PLO. I hardly think this a large, influential, or representative group.

I could probably get more than 240 names on a petition to ban dihydrogen monoxide in a single afternoon.

It does make me wonder what they think about other 'gentile created holidays' like Independence Day, or Veteran's Day. Are they involved in similar campaigns to abolish those? If not, they are hypocrites of the highest order.

I have no issue with Christmas. I have an issue with having to hear Christmas carols and see merchandise displays in stores promoting holiday shopping in August. It's become the 4th quarter retail event instead of a holiday with any meaning.

EVERY Faith has a right to have their own religious holidays. One has nothing to do with the others. I don't care what other people want to celebrate, that is for them alone to decide, and I support them in their decision. I'm Christian, and I celebrate Christmas. If all non Christians leave me alone, I'll leave them alone.

Of course I support the war on Christmas. Who doesn't!

Actually, there is no war on Christmas. There is paranoia and there are paranoid Christians. These folks might perceive a war on Christmas, but there really isn't one.

What "War on Christmas"? Sounds like the same old "Christians are being persecuted in the US" garbage.

I like presents too much. And, as an atheist, I just have my holidays whenever I feel like it. Maybe I would be put to death if I were living among Israelites 4000 years ago.

i do not support the war on Christmas because everyone deserves the same opportunity, (to be with their family on Christmas.Jesus died for us and his belief in god, he did not die intending on people to split up the world into countries and fight. Yes we are fighting for our rights but on Christmas! i mean come on violence is not something Jesus wanted when he died for all of us on the cross! so no i don't support the war on Christmas or any other holidays. i also think that we shouldn't be taking over Iraq its clear they want us out of there and i think that us being there is just causing more conflict than there was before! we should just leave them alone and let them settle their own problems!

I am not in a 'war' against Christmas. But neither do I think that 'Christ' was ever really into it.
