Has anyone heard this, or tried it?

The potency of raw garlic might give you a bit of a jolt, but there's no literal "shock" involved. There's nothing in plain garlic to cause or initiate any kind of current.

One thing I do know, though: garlic (raw) is so potent, if you put a single, peeled clove in your shoe, within an hour you will be able to taste it. Yes, I am completely serious. The oils in garlic absorb through your skin, then travel through your bloodstream all the way to your mouth.

Never heard that. But I have tried to eat raw garlic and it didn't give me a shock, just an overwhelming taste I could even feel in my nose.

How can something with no electrical charge shock you? The strong flavor might "shock" you, but if there is no electrical charge, it's just going to sit on your tongue, and you're just going to end up with a bad aftertaste. ;) Whoever told you this is just yanking your chain.

Silly, there is no electrical charge or current . All it's going to do is burn your tongue and keep the Girls and or boys away for quite awhile!

It will not shock you, however, it is hot... (spice hot, not temp.)

Raw garlic vs. cooked garlic are two different creatures...
