i personally HATE religion with all my HEART and think is one of the ROOTS OF ALL EVIL why?
that because its the reason for WAR
like Judaism say god only loves them and the rest of us will go to HELL
and Buddhism a bit more peaceful but i still HATE it-why? because they think left-handed people are EVIL (that nice well im handed)
and oh lets not for get about Christianity they also think left-handed EVIL and works for the devil back then. back then they sent tones of missionary around the world to what CONVERT people to BELIEVE in their religion. heres anther question to think about did you think they really cared about the people that they were helping-i dont think so, like the natives of Brazil it looked like they were trying to protect them from the slave hunters but noticed that after a wile none of them are believing so they find them no longer useful to them so the dam missionaries handed them over to the slave hunters (what do i think now????)

There's religion and there's religion. Some things done in the name of religions have been very bad ,but there would be no civilization at all if it were not for religions. I think there would be no charities at all if religious groups had not planted the seed of helping the needy.
My experience of religion as been mostly positive. My experience of people who consider themselves religious has not always been positive, however.
I am a Catholic Christian and I have found much challenge and consolation in living out my religion ,especially through my personal experiences of God through the Church. Just as all the horrors of the 20th Cent should not be blamed on all atheists and non religious people, so to blame all religious people for the problems of the world is wrong.
Judaism does not at all teach that God only loves Jews. You are confusing Fundamentalist Christians and Muslims with Jews.
The Jesuit Reductiones missions in Paraguay/Brasil did protect natives from the colonialist slavers until the Jesuit missionaries were expelled against their will.Much evil has been done by fanatics and exploiters of religion who usually act against the high teachings of their religions.
Secularists and dogmatic atheists have killed more people in the 20th Cent alone in the name of their ideologies than have all the religiously labelled wars and oppressions.

I don't hate religion although I don't believe in any. You are misinformed. I know for a fact that Judaism does not say that at all. And as for that thing with the left-handed people... I haven't heard that before but hope that not many people are serious with such a crazy idea. And what else you said about Christianity is history, it's not a reason to hate Christians, they have stopped to convert people by force long ago.
The thing with the left-handed people is crazy, I have no idea why anyone would say so, probably just because it is something relatively rare and minorities are often target of intolerance.

One one hand religion is a major source of conflict but on the other some people don't have anything but the hope that their religion brings. I personally think organized religion is the problem because when a few have power over others then they tend to incorporate their own personal preferences into the doctrine.
Christians justified slavery by saying that blacks were the descendants of Ham who was cursed in the book of Genesis.
And where does the Bible say women can't wear pants or left handed people are evil?

Religion does not start wars...people do. The bible has 1 meaning but sooooo many people misinterpret that meaning and fight for that misinterpretation.
Honestly, Wars are simply fought for money and resources. Here in Canada, we have many resources Water, Oil, Lumber, Cattle...all of what the United States wants. If Canada told the U.S.A. ...nope sorry, we will keep our own resources to ourselves and not give you anymore of it, what do you think would happen?
WAR!!!
So, you can hate religion, or even your own God, or his son that died for your sins. Or hell, believe in the devil, be my guest, what do I care. But don't come on here and use the devil's work and try to convince Christians that Religion starts wars. That's crap! and only tells me that you know nothing about war and even less about what goes on around the world.
As far as Muslim, Judiasm and other false religions...THEY ARE WRONG!....Do you really think your God would hurt you in such a way as to send you to hell, man that's the old testament...Read the new testament. You don't hurt someone you love dearly...So why would you think the only God you have would do that to you.
Get your facts straight then post.

I don't believe in any religion. This is just my opinion, but I think religion is related to mental illness. Religion targets those who are emotionally unstable. Look at the Phelps family, they must all have severe mental illness. I don't hate religion, but those highly religious people freak me out. They seem to lose reality sometimes. Why believe in something that is not proven to begin with. Americans are one of the most religious among the first world. I don't like the fact that they use religion as excuses for many many things. American should separate religion from schools, politics, and everywhere else. Some people are being brainwahsed, and they don't even know it.

I`m pretty indifferent to religion, as long as it stays a personal matter. I think religion can be positive for some people who need it, but it also causes a lot of trouble.
As to religion starting wars, that is sometimes true, but what about WW1 and WW2? Those weren`t started by religion. Many wars are started by politics, different opinions and ideoligies.
Religion is not one of the roots of all evil(sorry about the mix-up earlier), it`s ignorance, intolerance and narrow-mindedness.
And saying that left-handed people are evil falls under the category of ignorance.

If there's a god obtainable, or interior us, then the question is incomprehensible. we've unfastened will to have faith what we could like. Religions are guy-made communities of individuals who share a elementary perception. they are cultural, it extremely is why they are so distinctive. some religions have faith THEIRS is the only actual faith. yet while god incredibly nervous or hated religions, do no longer you think of we would all be believing or disbelieving the comparable factor? "Christianity, on the different hand, replaced into on no account meant to be a faith." it is actual. yet ,oh how the founding fathers found out what a administration gadget it would desire to be and is! everybody is grasping. some extra beneficial than others. If all Christian denominations incredibly observed Jesus' teachings, there could be no prosperous church buildings. One specifically has accumulated a fortune in real belongings, efficient products, invaluable antiquities, and nonetheless claims it needs contributions for the undesirable. That makes me snicker. So who's glorifying who? Glory to God? I doubt it. Glory of wealth is extra possibly. Like I reported, everybody is grasping, noticeably people who pretend to no longer be. as nicely, i've got not got faith anybody has risen, walked on water, became water into wine, or any factor. Jesus replaced right into a superb youthful guy, yet a guy, no longer a god. The bible replaced into written via adult males, no longer a god. end being prompted via each and every of the dogma and additionally you would be shocked what you study.

I appreciate your sentiments because I used to have them. At that time, I believed all religions were basically the same. That was until I discovered ECKANKAR, a path that respects everyone's right to any system of belief.
You may check out the link below where you may download this short but very interesting book "Is Life a Random Walk?" Perhaps you may find some answers to questions that have been bothering you like I did.

I don't just like religion, I LOVE it, particularly mine (I'm a Roman Catholic). It has given me indescribable peace and I bask in the love of God. The traditions and practices of the Catholic Church have only one aim: to draw us closer to Him.
Yes, people have made mistakes and committed acts of violence and evil in the name of religion. But that is human fault and folly, not God's.
I don't know enough of other religions to condemn them. And even if I knew everything about other religions, I would never find reason to look down on anybody who does not share my beliefs. Not believing in the same God is no reason we cannot peacefully co-exist with one another.
I pray that you will stop hating. Try love, compassion and understanding instead. Then, you will know just what I mean by PEACE.
