The concern with powdered bouillon/broth is MSG: Mono-Sodium Glutamate.

MSG enhances the taste of foods by interacting with the taste buds.

There was a big scare (due to the media) that the high amounts of MSG used in Chinese food was giving people headaches. After the report, a lot of people claim that they're allergic to MSG - mainly headaches. However, the irony here is that they'll avoid Chinese food, but will eat other processed foods which contain MSG and have no problems at all. Most likely is a placebo effect - the power of suggestion.

Anyway back to your question. If you like the taste using powdered chicken broth, then continue using it. If you're worried about MSG, then use the low sodium versions which reduces, if not eliminates, the MSG in the product.

is on top of this Q
Why don't you stop stressing your self.
Food freaks and the far left religious purists, scare the hell out silly people who do not use the logic.
Food won't kill you unless you abuse it.
But life is to be enjoyed and food is among the most pleasurable.

use low sodium chicken broth/stock (liquid). low sodium is preferred so that you can control the amount of salt that you put in your soup/sauces.

And it's called mono saturated fat.

Why not just use stock?

If you are concerned about additives, then organic chicken stock!

At your local megamart.
