Catholics honor Mary for they say she is the mother of God. She is not God's mother. The scriptures say God is from everlasting to everlasting and has no beginning or end.
She is the mother of the son of God. We are not to pray to or worship Mary as she was a mortal woman. We are only to pray to Jehovah God, The Almighty. Mary was not perfect and was a sinner. Mary had other sons and daughters besides Jesus. She was a faithful worshiper of God and she did follow her son while he was preaching on earth.

The Roman Catholic Church teaches, among other things, that Mary is the Queen of Heaven, a perpetual virgin, and the co-redemptress who ascended into heaven. In Scripture, she is portrayed as an obedient, believing servant of God, who became the mother of Jesus. None of the other attributes mentioned by the Roman Catholic Church have any basis in the Bible. The idea of Mary being the co-redemptress and another mediator between God and man is not only extra-biblical (found only outside of Scripture), but is also unbiblical (contrary to Scripture). Acts 4:12 declares that Jesus is the only redeemer. 1 Timothy 2:5 proclaims that Jesus is the only mediator between God and men.

It is catholics who worship Mary, and it is wrong and many verses in the Bible tell us to worship God alone. The explanation that Mary is the mother of God is unacceptable, because Gos didd not have a mother, he was not created, He has always existed and he is always will. Mary is a wonderful woman who God chose to be the mother of Jesus the man. We may admire her courage and faith, for she herself was a disciple of the Master but we should never worship her.

No, no, no. Catholic Christians worship Mary because they came up with this ridiculous concept that Mary was the 'mother of God'... May God forbid that...
Protestant Christians don't worship Mary. They got that part right.

Do you mean Catholics and Mary?
If so, I don't think they worship her exactly but I see nothing wrong with elevated status for the woman you think gave birth to God.

Catholics do NOT worship Mary. Catholics worship God only.
Mary is honored as the mother of our savior.
It will always amaze me that those most rabid anti-Catholics always think they know what we believe. Stupid.
