There is no one such breed, but the huge variety to breeds allows a person to choose one that is right for them and their lifestlye.
For example I work outside the home several hours a day, a lot of breeds are not a good match for me, because they do not like being alone without their owner.
I am on my feet all day work by the end of the day I am sore, a dog the is energetic and needs a lot of exercise is definetely wrong dog for me.
I have 2 young grandchildren, as a result an agressive dominant breed is a poor mix
Some dogs are cuddlers and love to be held all the time, others are more reserved and independant and would be annoyed if someone was constantly trying to cuddle with and likely bite eventually if forced
Some dogs love everybody and would make poor watch dogs, where other are extremely protective of their homes.
Some breeds have high prey chase instinct so will never be trustworthy off leash or to stay on their own property unless fence in
Some breeds are not good with other animals and would likely kill another pet
Some dogs are only a couple pound full size and others are 200lbs
So inorder to find the best dog for you, you need to decide what you are looking for in a dog the dog that is best for me can end up being the very worst dog for you if it does not fit your desires and lifestyle

No one can answer this question personalized for you. Its different for everyone. Do you have a large yard? Yes: Get a big dog. No: get a small dog. Do you have kids?: Do research on what dog is most compatible with children. Do you take pride in your clean home? Dont get a dog that sheds. You need to describe your situation before can give you a real answer.
Currently we are working on getting a female Siberian husky. Beautiful dog but they shed, then need room to run, and they can tear things up very easily. Also remember a dog lives between 10-20 years so do reasearch before you make your final decision. Youll siffer with a bad decision for many years if you jump too quickly.

Best for what?? There are many different breeds of dogs, all bred for different reasons.. You have to know what you want in a dog, what you are willing to do, how much time you have for training and grooming, you need to know if you have kids, or work all the time or if you have a cat, or another dog already etc.. You are the only one who knows what your situation is.. Obviously everyone here thinks that their breed is the best.

The dog that you think looks cute and, for the most part, if you treat it right it should turn out to be very friendly no matter what.
I have had great experiences with sh!t-zus and golden retrievers. Labs are also amazing.
If you feed them twice a day (like your supposed to, don't over feed!) Take them to the vets when they are sick, play with them every once and a while (at least) and don't just throw them outside every day in solitude almost any dog would become friendly and amazingly fun to be around. Every dog has their own personality though, just like any person would
Good luck in your search!

It depends what size dog you can accomodate in your home. I personally love Border Collies, not the "lassie" type but the sheep dog black & white ones. Ive had two and unfortunately lost both of them now, when I retire I plan to get another two. they are great companions and very loyal and as a bonus they have such lovely faces.
I miss mine dearly but family and work commitments mean it wouldn't be fair to have another dog just now.
Hope you find what you are looking for.

Depends on what type of dog is your personal preference...i have a lab at home and she's very family oriented..lazy and unaggressive lol. Labs and Golden retrievers are good for family dogs but really its up to you. Also dogs have different personalities..you might get a hyper one or a calm one

well getting a dog is all about ur personallity and/or ur living situation. like if u are looking for a family dog then a good dog to get is a golden retriever, or if u live in a house with a small garden then a good idea would be to get a small dog.

the breed of dog you get purely depends on your choice... there's no such thing as a "best" dog... if you're looking for a friendly dog to play around with a labrador would be a good choice... if you're looking for a guard dog then a german shepherd or a doberman would be good... so like i said, every dog is good, the breed is purely your choice
