I have just installed a split unit ac in my room and there is a pipe on the other side of the wall where the water comes out from and it normally gives about 30 to 50 litres of water every day and I was wondering if this water is safe for drinking? I was conserned about any chemicals which get disolved in the process or something similar..

If you don't mind drinking bacteria that may or may not be safe. Use it for non-potable uses such as watering flowers or trees.

Air conditioning trays are notorious for clogging these lines from slime growth of bacteria.

Get merely slightly plastic over a bucket - shield it with elastic string or regardless of. Weight it interior the middle - with a stone or regardless of. So the plastic is now like a the different way up pyramid on your bucket. below the pyramid placed a heavy field - like a cup. Now placed seawater on your bucket; no longer overlaying your heavy cup. The solar shines interior the process the sparkling plastic - the sea water evaporates - the evaporated water condenses on your plastic and runs all the way down to the factor on the backside of the the different way up pyramid and drips in on your heavy cup. you presently have desalinated water on your cup and it extremely is drinkable. Is that a precise answer or what!!!

The water condensed out of the air, sort of like rain water, but I still wouldn't drink it. If the water pools somewhere inside the mechanism it can be home to a colony of microbes that could potentially make you sick. I agree 30 to 40 liters of water is a lot to waste, but I agree with the other answer that perhaps the best use is for watering your garden.

I don't know if it is drinkable but many members of my family have been collecting it for years and watering their patio plants with it.
