It's just my husband and me, and it varies from month to month due to birthdays, holidays, and events. I'd guess the average to be about $350 since we're both former cooks. Last month we had a ton of stuff going on and it hit over $500! But this month we'll probably top out at $250. We love to cook.

Well, my family is small, as it's just my husband and myself. Also, he is in the Navy, so we have the use of the Commissary on base, which is much cheaper than regular civilian grocery stores. So, in our situation, I'd say we spend about $200 per month on groceries, at the most.

it depends, we have 2 birds, fishes, 2 senior who randomly pluck food from the fridge, plus when we come in late, we just dine out since we are too tired to cook. my husband prefer to cook all the time, but lately, i request for him not to so he can rest early. we do not eat light, we do get down. but then again, we go to dine in restaurant.

we were insulted when the tax preparer guesstimated that we spent $100 per month, we are wondering if we are abnormal, cause for us, that is less for one sitting, especially in black angus, george petrelli and among fancy restaurant. we wonder what does she eat, probably a hot dog or pork and beans, maybe bread and water or ramen.

calculating how much we spend, try eating at fast food everyday, minimum price $5 x 2 people=$10 x 30 days= $300 that's just one meal, what about the rest? if we decided to cook at home, breakfast consist of pancakes, sausages, eggs, hash brown, orange juice or coffee. dinner is usually, steaks and vegetables, chicken and pasta, pork with rice, whatever my husband prepares, its all good. i know we shelve hundreds but we are only two adults, our pet eat too plus our retired senior, so it varies how much we spend depend on our preference....

Too much! It is just my son and I, but he is sixteen and he eats everything. I probably spent at least $700 a month.
