There is a guy who likes me. If I talk to him he smiles and is very nice, makes compliments, always comes to my assistance...BUT he always tries to take his eyes away from me. WHY?

im the same totally.. i do it tho coz i have
1) low self esteem but mainly do it because
2) i want the girl to come after me more than i go after her.. usually its me doin the chasing, as i get fed up with doin it so much i get happy because she is eyeing me up and i act like i dont see (this makes me feel more wanted) :) so some of us guys dont look so much as to get the girl to look more at us.
and 3) if we really like someone we can tend to seem angry sometimes, we feel intimidated sometimes so we act like "oh leave me alone" (not that we really mean that tho).
but i assure altho i do all this im a good fella lol

Maybe he is shy. low self esteem, people like that can not look people in the face sometimes. give him some compliments, it may change things.

when your shy eye-contact is hard to maintain. Maybe he doesn't feel like hes getting a positive vibe and is nervous.

I do the same thing, he might be shy or doesn't want to make it look like hes interested so you'll pay more attention to him.

Just be patient with him...Hey do you like him back?if you do try to be the one to be close to him, he seems very shy and scared, hehehe...
don't worry bout this guy not liking you, TRYING to take his eyes off you is just a sign he likes you!

Thats because he's prolly shy and/or doesnt want to look rude. Trust me, he takes plenty of looks when you dont know it.
