Secretly admire religion? How can you admire a religion? What is there to admire about religion? The pious are the ones who do all of the admiring.
You, on the other hand, probably admire the fact that we atheists think for ourselves instead letting a book (buy-bull) do it for us.
Btw, my blow-up jesus doll was ruined after the first nail was pounded in.

I don't ''Secretly" Admire religion.
I have always Openly admired religion. I have no problem admitting it, i'm not one of those people that are afriad that religion will destroy science.
I'm an Atheist because i find it difficult to believe god exists, thats it.
I actually want to believe, i've jumped from religion to religion for well over 3 YEARS trying to find a god that i could worship, but nothing worked :(
So here i am, an Atheist, I have no problem being an atheist :) i'm happy now, not having to worry about prayers or libation, not getting down on my knees or burning incense ^_^ life is good.

Up until about 40 years back Christianity was thriving and there was no conflict with others but in just those few short years the modern christians have become intolerant, hate filled, bigoted and persecuting resulting in a growing backlash against christianity and causing christianity to loose over ten percent in less than a decade with the loss accelerating! The self destruction of Christianity is underway and the only thing that can stop it is to abandon the terrible human emotions, seek to rediscover the idea of a loving god and act like it! Posts like yours that drive people further away from God are driving you towards hell. So who are you working for the devil or the antichrist because it sure ain't the loving god!
