Extinction was not originally a problem, it was a solution. Just like she has done, so many times in the past. When Mother Nature gets fed up, she just wipes the slate clean, and starts all over again.

She'll pat us on the head, acknowledge our good intentions, reward us with bumper crops, and then go back to doing whatever she was doing before we disturbed her.
