Nissan is the maker of Infinity .Just like Honda is the maker of Acura and Toyota makes lexus.

They have a 1000% conection. they are the same company. In the fleet business we call the infinity the nissan with all the bells whistles and the toys as standard. For many years The Maxima and the Infinity I 30 were the same car. The both use the same motor and tranmissions on many models. Some even share the same sheet metel. You can most always buy nissan parts from an infinity dealer as well as vice versa

Infinity is Nissan. Like Acrua is Honda and Toyota's Lexus. Infinity is distancing it self from Nissan more and more by offering only read wheel drive cars. The J-30 is gone.

Infinity is nissan, it was a sub name that their higher end models were catagorized in for the N.A market, much like Acura an Honda.
