That is doubtful, the US is still in Iraq, and Afghanistan is getting more violent by the day. If it were a case where we could wipe out a site and then go on like nothing happened, maybe. Israel, I believe hit an Iranian nuclear facility in the 1980's or some time and World War III did not develop. But it is unlikely if the US did that it would not result in retaliation from Iran. The US can not afford another war.

Oh sweet lord, READ A NEWSPAPER !!
And it isn't just the USA... ALL members of the IAEA other than Russia and China is STRONGLY opposed to Iran developing un-monitored nuclear capability.
And, the former Soviet Union had a larger number of warheads.

The US doesn't and hasn't for decades had the most. The Soviets had more and the Russians still have more since the collapse of the Soviet Union
They like the rest of the world the US is worried of what an unstable Amadinajad might do with one and if a more radical faction takes over they may use them or supply them to terrorists.

Iran is a Persian country and is not to well liked by the Arab countries surrounding it, If they could blow the Israelis off the face of the earth, the Shiite regime would and could become the new celebrities of Islam. also these fanatics do not care who they kill if you got in their way they would kill you to no matter whether you are a Muslim or not. they just don't care. their president was one of the head men in the kidnappings of the American people that worked at the American embassy
in Iran. he is worst now then he was then. believe me they will kill you and me and anyone else who stands in their way of changing the world into a radical Islamic state.

How old are you? You actually have to ask this?
Letting Iran have nuclear weapons would be like letting Charles Manson loose and giving him a loaded gun and telling him to have fun.

We have the sense not to use them unless we need to! It's like giving a loaded gun to a toddler, they might just pull the trigger whenever they feel like it. You don't give someone a weapon who has not fully developed mentally. I thought that was just plain ole common sense.

The USA is very unlikely to ever again use such weapons while Iran constantly rants and brags that they will use them against another country. The risk of them doing this is too great to allow them to acquire such a destructive device.
